Chapter 30 - Being 'Saved'

Astoria and Hermione walk back into Severus's bedroom to find Narcissa sitting on the bed. They both freeze at her presences. Narcissa quickly puts her index finger over her lips and signals them to close the door. They do so, and then Narcissa put up the - enchantment around the room, "There, now I can speak with you two freely." Hermione looks at Astoria confused but she nods in return. Narcissa speaks again, gaining Hermione's attention again, "Listen, I don't know how or why you became one of us. But it is clear to me that you mean a lot to my son and future daughter-in-law. For that reason, and the reason of you saving my son's life, I will protect you as much as I can from the others, including my husband."

"Thank you, Mrs. Malfoy."

"Please, call me Narcissa."

"Thank you, Narcissa."

"Unfortunately, we have to put you down below with others now. To make it seem like you were there the whole time, put your old clothes back on."

Hermione nodded and changed into her old clothes before turning to the two women, "Severus made my arm numb so it doesn't hurt. Please take his charm away, I need to make sure I feel pain." Narcissa nodded and removed the charm off of Hermione's arm. Hermione gasps at the pain, "Merlin!" 

Astoria looks at Hermione, "This is where I take my leave, I'll see you again when I bring food down."

Hermione nods, "Ok..."

The two hug each other before Astoria leaves the room. Hermione looks at Narcissa and she frowns, 'Follow me, I'll take you below."

Hermione takes another look at the room looking at the picture of herself and Severus at the dresser before following Narcissa. Once they reach the top of the stairs, Wormtail walks up to her, "Don't mind my rudeness when I throw you in, got to make it look believable" Hermione nods before Wormtail grabs her arm, unfortunately it was the one Bellatrix carved into, so she yelps in pain. He drags her down the stairs and looks into the cellar, "Everyone back up! Got ya a new roomie!" Everyone looks over and sees Hermione and she is thrown onto the floor in the cellar. Wormtail closes the door and walks back up the stairs, closing the door behind him. 

Hermione slowly starts to get off the floor when she feels someone help her, she looks up to see it was Luna, "Luna? What are you doing here?"

"Hello Hermione, they don't like what my father has been writing, so I've just been here. They haven't tortured me or anything, just kept me locked down here."

"Yeah, she got lucky with that." interrupted Gribhook.

Hermione looks at him and smiles softly, "I'm so sorry they torture you."

Griphook huffed and walked into a dark corner and sat down. Olivander walked up to Hermione and smiled Lighty, "Ms. Granger, are you alright?"

Hermione nodded, "Could be better. But I'm alive."

"Believe me, I completely understand."

Luna walks up and taps Hermione on the shoulder, "I am sorry they caught you as well Hermione."

"I'm sorry that they captured all of you as well." Hermione says genuinely upset. She didn't think it was fair or ok that any of them were down here.  She and Luna sat down next to each other in a separate corner from Gribhook, seemed like he wished to be left alone. Once they sit together, Hermione starts feeling the pain in her arm again. It's pulsating up to her shoulder. She looks down at her arm, "Ahh... merlin!"

"What is wrong with your arm Hermione?", Luna asked concernedly

"Bellatrix... hurt me... that's all."
