Adrian P.O.V

The next morning, I awoke with the soft weight of my wife nestled in my arms. A contented smile crept across my lips as I gazed upon Sarah, who was still asleep, her features relaxed and serene. My fingers gently traced the contours of her smooth skin, and I marvelled at her exquisitely sculpted face.

It had become apparent that Sarah, driven by her desperation to save her company, would agree to almost anything. Last night, she finally acquiesced to my demands in exchange for her freedom. Her admission of virginity had comforted me, albeit it raised questions. Despite her confession, doubts lingered because of the photographs Jessica had shown me.

In the midst of everything that had transpired, it was crucial to uncover the truth. Jessica's claims needed verification; I could not place blind trust in her words. Quietly, I slipped out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. After preparing for work, I placed Sarah's phone and laptop on the side table and instructed my driver to take her to Amario Enterprises.

Upon arriving at Parker Enterprises, I proceeded to my office. On my way, I sent a text to my private investigator, instructing him to delve into Sarah's history, particularly her relationship with Justin. I forwarded him the photographs Jessica had shown me, requesting him to trace the location where they were taken.

Entering my cabin, I was greeted by my assistant, who updated me on my schedule and recent developments. He handed me a file on Amario Enterprises, detailing their progress, investments, and future plans over the past three months. I dismissed him and dialled Jessica's number, only to be greeted by her cheerful voice.

"Hey, babe! Finally, you remembered me!" she said.

"Hey, love. How are you?" I responded.

"I'm fine, but I miss you, Adrian," she said in her sweet voice.

"I miss you too, Jess. I'm taking you out for lunch today. I hope you're free," I said.

"I'm always available for you. Just let me know the time and place," she replied.

"See you at lunch, then. Love you!"

"Love you too, Adrian," she said, and we ended the call. I returned my focus to the day's tasks.

Around noon, after wrapping up a crucial meeting with Chinese delegates, I returned to my office and relaxed in my chair, loosening my tie. My gaze fell on the file concerning Amario Enterprises. As I reviewed its contents, I noted a remarkable growth in the company's performance since Sarah took over as CEO. Her achievements were impressive, indicating that she had successfully turned the company around. Her plans for the future were solid, suggesting that she didn't require my assistance to restore the company's standing.

This revelation puzzled me. How could Sarah, despite her apparent lack of experience and education in the construction sector, achieve such success? Someone must have been guiding her. She couldn't have done it alone.

As I pondered these thoughts, my phone buzzed with a call from Jessica. I had almost forgotten about our lunch date. I quickly stood up, headed to the lobby, and drove to the restaurant where we had planned to meet.

Upon arriving at our favourite restaurant, I scanned the room for Jessica. She was seated by the window, engrossed in her phone. In her short yellow floral dress, she looked radiant.

"Hey, babe," I greeted her with a kiss on her cheek.

"Hey," she replied, her smile tinged with sadness.

I sat beside her and took her hands in mine.

"What's wrong, love? You seem upset," I inquired.

"It's nothing, Adrian Parker," she said.
