Sarah P.O.V
After the morning drama with Adrian and Alessandro, I decided to take a day off from the office. But then, remembering the pending work left behind, I changed my mind.
It was almost 11 in the morning when I reached the office. I walked towards my cabin when I saw Ester sitting at her desk, her eyes fixed on the laptop.
"Where were you last night? I was so worried about you, Ester," I asked, resting my hands on my hips.
"Well, it should be me asking this to you, Cinderella. Where were you? I literally searched the whole club looking for you. Where did you go?" she replied.
"I looked for you too, Ester, but couldn't find you. Your phone was also unreachable."
"Me and Noah went to the VIP section since there was a lot of noise downstairs. We decided to go to the VIP floor. Also, my phone was working well, but maybe due to network issues, your call didn't connect," she explained.
"Ohh! Is everything fine between you two? Noah looked tense last night."
"Everything is fine, Sarah, you don't have to worry. First, tell me how you got home yesterday since I had the car keys."
"Ahh, well, I went out to take a cab, but because of my drunken state, Alessandro dropped me back," I said.
"Alessandro? You mean Alessandro Dante?" She asked, her lips curling into a huge smile.
"Yes. He was the one who dropped me home."
"Sarah, am I missing something?" she asked, narrowing her eyes and staring at me suspiciously.
Knowing she had already gotten the hint about Alessandro and me, I told her everything, including the events that occurred in the morning with Adrian.
I described how Alessandro had been stalking me at the university and even a few days before.
"Holy shit!! This is so f*ckin' romantic, Sarah!!" she exclaimed, placing her hands on my shoulders.
"Seriously? This is not romantic, Ester; it's creepy. He even knows everything about me and Adrian. He could be dangerous," I responded.
"Sarah, that guy has been trying to approach you since university. If he wanted to harm you, he would have done so already. But he isn't doing anything absurd; he genuinely asked you for a friendly dinner."
"Still, Ester, I don't know anything about him. What if he's a psychopath?"
"Sarah, he's Alessandro Dante, a well-known personality in Italy. Why would he do anything like that? If he were a psychopath, he would have already succeeded with his intentions."
We were both engrossed in our TED Talks about Alessandro when a guy walked in holding a bouquet of roses.
"Excuse me, Ma'am. This is for you," he said, handing me the large bouquet.
I took the bouquet and thanked him.
"Who sent these?" Ester asked curiously.
"Don't know," I shrugged, running my fingers through the roses. My gaze fell on the note placed among them. I pulled out the note.
Sorry if I hurt you I hope you forgive me.

I read the note and quickly realized who had sent it. For some odd reason, a smile formed on my lips. Seeing my expression, Ester immediately grabbed the note from my hand.
"See? I told you he's not a bad guy, Sarah. He genuinely likes you," Ester said, passing me the note back.
"You need to move on with your life. Not everyone is like Adrian. Just give that poor guy a chance, Sarah."
