Adrian P.O.V

It had been an hour since Baldwin left my office, but I was still staring at the evidence laid out before me. These documents seemed to mock my foolishness.

A wave of guilt hit me hard as I thought about all the terrible things I had done to her.

What have I done to her?

I punished her for things she never did.

She kept telling me she was innocent, but I didn't trust her, blinded by my doubts and ego.

I did everything to hurt her. I ignored her cries and pleas, even forcing myself on her, demanding she be my whore.

Thinking about the abuse and torture, I pulled at my hair in frustration.

On one hand, I was relieved to know she wasn't cheating on me, but on the other, it was killing me to remember how I mistreated her.

But what bothered me most was why Jessica lied to me. I needed to ask her—maybe there was a genuine reason or maybe it was just a misunderstanding.

Without further speculation, I put on my blazer and walked out of the office.

I started my car and within 15 minutes, parked outside the mansion. I got out quickly, mentally preparing myself to confront Jessica calmly, remembering her pregnancy.

I was about to climb the stairs when I heard voices from the living room. I followed the sound, and as I approached, I could hear Jessica and Chloe giggling. Just as I was about to enter, I heard Chloe's voice.

"I can't believe your fake pregnancy actually worked," Chloe chuckled.

"It had to work. I planned everything perfectly this time. I even bribed the doctor and staff to get fake reports," Jessica replied.

"But what if Adrian finds out the truth? What if he brings Sarah back?" Chloe asked.

"Don't worry. I'll be pregnant with Adrian's child soon, and he won't care about my lie. He wants Sarah out of his life anyway," Jessica said.

"Well, you did a solid job, Jessica. I don't think Sarah will ever be able to prove her innocence to Adrian," Chloe replied.

"Hahaha! Even if she does, Adrian won't believe her. I've poisoned his mind against her. He even believes she had an affair with Justin," Jessica said confidently.

Reality hit me hard as I listened to Jessica. I felt deceived, knowing how easily she had manipulated me all these years.

Unable to control my anger, I stormed into the living room to confront Jessica. Their faces turned pale as if they had seen a ghost.

Jessica quickly composed herself and walked toward me.

"Hey, love. You're back early. Great, we can all have lunch together," she said, kissing my cheek. I just stared at her angrily.

"What were you both talking about?" I asked, shifting my gaze to Chloe.

"Oh, we were just discussing the new store that opened last week," Jessica said, glancing at Chloe, who quickly nodded in agreement.

Even now, she had the audacity to lie.

"Stop lying, Jessica. I heard everything. Tell me the truth—why did you fake your pregnancy?" I demanded furiously.

"I... I only faked it so you'd come back to me and divorce Sarah," she replied tensely.

"What about the lies about Sarah's affair? The stories you fed me? I know the truth now, Jessica. I know you've been lying for years, so don't give me this bullshit."
