Sarah P.O.V

I don't know why I expected him to support me in this. Why am I feeling so distressed when he doesn't even care about his child?

I should have already known his reaction. I shouldn't have told him about my pregnancy.

I sighed, recalling every word Adrian said that night.

Thankfully, after that night, Adrian didn't bother me with his presence. He went to LA for work.

He did inform me about his departure, but I didn't open my bedroom door. Finally, he left a note by the door and left.

Well, I hope his absence continues for the rest of my life.

The last three days had been hell on Earth. With all the nausea and dizziness, I could hardly sleep or even stand.

Considering Ester's advice, I took three days off from work. My body felt more exhausted with all these new changes from the pregnancy.

Ester visited every day, making sure I was alright. She even looked after my medicines and food, staying with me for two days to ensure I took everything properly.

Today, I'm going back to work. There's a lot of pending work, and though I'm feeling a bit better, the medicines helped a lot with the sickness. Nausea and dizziness are much better now.

I got out of my room and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast. I can't skip meals now, knowing someone is growing inside me and needs proper nutrition.

I hurriedly made some pancakes with fruit. Placing the food on my plate, I quickly took a shower.

Afterwards, I did my skincare routine and applied some minimal makeup, dabbing a thick amount of concealer under my eyes to hide my dark circles.

I don't want to scare people with my zombie look.

I styled my hair, sprayed fragrance, and put my lipstick in my bag. Then I headed to the dining table to have my breakfast.

As I was eating the fruits, I saw Ester's text. She informed me about a meeting with ARD Enterprises at noon today.

I dropped my fork and read her text carefully, my mind drifting to Alessandro.

After returning from the hospital, I tried calling him multiple times, but all my calls went unanswered. I even dropped a text asking him to call me, but he didn't respond.

It's pretty clear he's avoiding me, but I still don't know why.

What if he doesn't want to be with me anymore?

What if he's tired of my company?

The thought of him never talking to me again pinched my heart.

I need to talk to him today.

I don't want to lose this bond with him.

I quickly finished the remaining food, grabbed my bag and phone, and headed to my car.

Inside the car, I pulled out my lipstick, using the front camera to apply it.

A single lipstick can work wonders for a face.

Once satisfied with the results, I started the car and drove to the office.

I parked in the lot and headed into the main building.

I was about to enter the elevator when I saw Ester walking in as well.

"Good morning, Sarah. What happened to your face?" Ester yelled, giving me a tight, warm hug.
