RIGHT AFTER THE talk with Loki, (Y/N) rushed immediately to call Thor and Natasha in, all three of them walking together as they tried to find Nick Fury and the others in the lab.

"— The world hasn't changed a bit." was the first thing they caught onto when they entered the room together, already noticing the tense atmosphere between the men in the room.

(Y/N) noticed the image on one of the monitors, which had the clear design of a tactical nuclear missile that had the name written on the side: Phase 2.

"Did you know about this?" Bruce asked Natasha.

"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Natasha replied.

Bruce chuckled. "I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed."

"Loki is manipulating you," Natasha said.

"And you've been doing what, exactly?" Bruce questioned.

"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you." Natasha defended.

"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy," Bruce continued. "I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D. is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction."

Fury took time to respond. "Because of him."

He pointed directly at Thor, who frowned in confusion of the accusation.

"Me?"

"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled in a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned."

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet," Thor informed.

"But you're not the only people out there, are you?" Fury asked. "And you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled."

"Like you control the Cube?" Steve said.

"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies," Thor explained. "It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war."

"A higher form?" quizzed Steve.

"You forced our hand we had to come up with something," Fury said.
