THE NEXT DAY was normal to (Y/N), even after the intense fight in Sokovia, she tried her best to leave it all behind, as everyone else did, but she was sure that someone hadn't gotten over it, and that person needed to talk about it.
With hesitation, (Y/N) made her way to Wanda's bedroom, which wasn't far from hers, but it still felt like forever as she walked from her room to the other, not knowing what to say.
(Y/N) knocked on the bedroom door softly, and waited for a response to come from behind the door.
"Come in," Wanda said from the inside.
(Y/N) sighed in relief and opened the door of the room softly, spotting how Wanda was sitting on the foot of the bed with a pillow on her legs, watching the television.
"I'm sorry, didn't mean to interrupt — "
"You don't?"
"Well, it was kind of my intention to come in here, but only if you want to," (Y/N) said.
Wanda patted the side of the bed with her hand and nodded at (Y/N) to sit down beside her, which she did. The two girls stared up to the TV in silence, watching the show with interest.
"What are you watching?" (Y/N) asked with genuine interest.
"You don't know which show it is?" Wanda looked surprised.
"Where I come from, it was not allowed to be sitting around and watching TV," (Y/N) explained.
Wanda hummed in reply and silence filled the room once again. The sound of the audience laughing coming in once in a while.
"Wanda, the real reason I'm here is because I wanted to know how you were doing," (Y/N) said. "Only if you're okay with telling me."
"Why do you think that talking about it will make me feel better?" Wanda asked. "The only think that will make me feel better is seeing him again."
"I get it," (Y/N) nodded. "I know what it's like to loose a sibling."
Wanda froze at her words, looking over at (Y/N).
"You feel like you would do anything to bring them back in a moment where you were both happy," (Y/N) continued. "Even if it's impossible."
"Yes," Wanda agreed. "It's just like this wave washing over me again and again, it knocks me down and when I try to stand up, it just comes for me again. And it's just gonna drown me in all that pain."
"No it won't," (Y/N) shook her head.
"How are you so sure?" Wanda asked.
"Because someone once told me that your pain only makes you stronger," (Y/N) recited. "It has saved my life, maybe now it can save yours."
Wanda stayed quiet as she thought over the words (Y/N) told her, the words being stuck on her head like a mantra, not knowing at that moment that she was right about it.
"Hey, would you mind if I stayed with you for the night? That show is starting to catch my attention," (Y/N) confessed.
This made Wanda laugh. "No worries. I was just about to ask you."
"I'm honored."
(Y/N) and Wanda stayed on the bed for the next few hours and watched the sitcom, at some moments sneaking into the kitchen for ice cream or any sweets for the night.
They even got in a debate that consisted in discussing which sitcom was the best, and Wanda offered to show (Y/N) all her favorite ones. Some were old, some were new, but (Y/N) got to love all of them equally.
This went on for the rest of the night, and when they were about to watch yet another episode of 'I Love Lucy', Wanda looked over at (Y/N) and smiled.
"(Y/N)," she called.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you."
