THE MOTORBIKE sped up through the lonely soil road with surrounding trees, guiding the two women deeper into the woods as they searched for the person they were looking for.
Natasha drove the bike while (Y/N) was holding onto her waist tightly after many complaints from the latter that she'll be dropped by the middle of the drive. Both women stayed in silence for the majority of the time, but it wasn't awkward, it was reassuring.
Natasha parked the bike on the side of the road and removed her helmet, revealing her now short blonde hair that she'd dyed not too long ago. (Y/N) had repeatedly teased her about it that Natasha was already used to it, rolling her eyes at the comments of her sister.
The last few months were wild. Thousands of disastrous situations happened, but (Y/N) couldn't say she was complaining, she had found her family once again. She wouldn't have it any other way.
She was shaken out of her thoughts when Natasha had walked straight up to the snoring person on the grass and woke him up with her foot, shaking the poor man from the slumber.
"You ever not sleep?" Natasha asked with real curiosity.
"I've been in six different time zones in three days because of you." the man, who's name was Rick Mason, replied and stood from the grass.
"Really? Oh, the poor guy," (Y/N) contributed to the teasing.
"Yeah."
"What, are you scrapping together some parts?" Natasha inquired. "What'd you get me this time? like, an upside-down lawnmower?"
Rick pointed over to the side of the enormous plain field of grass and in the center stood a regular sized jet, waiting to be used.
"This guy of yours is finally useful!" (Y/N) exclaimed.
"Can't believe Dario has to deal with you," Rick said with his hands in his pockets. "Anyway. . .you see what I can get you with a bit of time and money?"
The wasn't an immediate response from Natasha.
"Go on, say it. I wanna hear it. It would be really good for me to hear it. Really," Rick shrugged.
"I'm impressed." Natasha muttered. "You've always been a really good friend to me."
