THE BATTLE AROUND Steve was ruthless. He had exchanged weapons with Thor after he'd told him to stay with the smallest one, holding the hammer in his hand as he kept on fighting the aliens coming his way.
"Help, somebody help!" the young voice of Spider-Man yelled through comms and Steve directed his attention where the sound came from.
"Hey, Queens, heads up!" Steve threw the hammer his way, which he took as an opportunity to aim a web at and pull him out of the Outriders' claws.
The web was then cut short by one of the firing lasers from the spaceship hovering above them, and he nearly hit the ground and dropped the gauntlet in his hand before Pepper swooped in and pulled him by the arm.
"Hang on. I got you, kid," Pepper grunted and threw him forward, and Spider-Man landed safely in the back of Valkyrie's pegasus.
"Hey! Nice to meet you — Oh my god!" he yelled out as the pegasus speeded up, but was finding it hard to stay in the air because of the blasts.
A laser shot right in front of them, which caused a pile of dirt to lift up and cover them in it and with great force threw Spider-Man a few feet away. He didn't get enough time to duck for cover before another beam was fired; he rolled down on the ground and pulled the gauntlet towards his chest before it all died down.
Everyone saw how the canons directed their attention towards the sky, firing at what it seemed to be nothing.
"What the hell is this?" Sam asked.
"Friday, what are they firing at?" Tony questioned.
"Something just entered the upper atmosphere."
A golden glow flew right through the clouds and dodged all the shots directed at them, effortlessly crushing through the middle of the enormous spaceship before appearing from the other side of it. The glow family disappeared from the mysterious person's face and the familiar outline of Carol was visible from the ground.
The spaceship, all damaged and malfunctioning, crashed down from the sky and into the lake, fire and smoke covering it all as Carol flew away from it without paying much attention.
She landed right in front of a cowering Spider-Man, who didn't dare to move from his place on the ground. "Hi, I'm Peter Parker."
"Hey, Peter Parker," Carol smirked. "You got something for me?"
Peter grunted as he pulled himself to his feet, swallowing nervously when he saw the remaining army of Thanos running towards the newest threat.
