TONY WAS TAKEN back to one of the hospital beds inside the compound, laying unconscious while Pepper sat on the seat beside him, cradling his hand in hers. Rhodey exited the room and approached the rest of the group that was waiting outside patiently.

"Bruce gave him a sedative," he explained. "He's gonna probably be out for the rest of the day."

"You guys take care of him. . .and I'll bring him q Xorrian elixir when I come back," Carol decided and began walking away from the room.

"Where are you going?" Steve asked.

"To kill Thanos."

(Y/N) exchanged a look with Steve and Natasha, sharing a thought in common before walking out to catch up with Carol.

"Hey," Natasha called. "You know, we usually work as a team here. . .and, uh, between you and I, morale's a little fragile."

"We know that up there is more of your territory, but this is a fight for us, too," (Y/N) added.

"You even know where he is?" Rhodey spoke up.

"I know people who might," Carol said.

"Don't bother," a voice said from behind her. Everyone's eyes changed to see the familiar person that had accompanied Tony out of the spaceship leaning against the wall, her arms crossed in her chest.

"I can tell you where Thanos is."

"THANOS SPENT A long time trying to perfect me," Nebula began explaining, staring down at the ground as she talked. "And when he worked, he talked about his Great Plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him."

"I'd ask. . .where would we go once his plan was complete? And his answer was always the same," she paused and leaned over the table. "'To the Garden.'"

"That's cute," Rhodey said. "Thanos has a retirement plan."

"So, where is he?" Steve questioned, his hands tucked in his pockets as he walked to stand besides (Y/N).

Rocket raised a paw and the projector showed the hologram of the planet Earth in the center of the table. "When Thanos snapped his fingers. . .Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions. No ones ever seen anything like it.

"Until two days ago. . .on this planet," the hologram changed and it showed the image of another planet, which went by the name 0259-5.

"Thanos is there," Nebula decided.

Natasha leaned in closer to her a better look at the image on the table, her eyes widening in terror. "He used the stones again."

"Hey, hey, hey," Bruce cut in with a dry laugh. "We'd be going in shorthanded, you know?"

"Look, he's still got the stones, so. . ." Rhodey continued.

"So, let's get 'em. Use them to bring everyone back," Carol spoke up with her hands placed on her hips.

"Just like that?"

"Yeah. Just like that."

"Even if there's a chance that we can fix all of this. . ." (Y/N) said. "I mean, we owe it to everyone who's not here in this room to try, right?"

"If we do this, how do we know it's gonna end any differently than it did before?" Bruce argued.

"Because before you didn't have me," Carol said.

"Hey, new girl?" Rhodey turned to her. "Everybody in this room is about that superhero life. And if you don't mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?"

"There are a lot of other planets in the universe. And unfortunately, they didn't have you guys."

Thor, who had been completely quiet ever since they got back from Wakanda rose from his seat on the table and walked towards Carol, who whirled around to look at him in the eye.

Thor raised his hand in the air and his axe flew right into his palm without making Carol flinch, a small smirk forming in her features as he nodded slowly and turned to the rest of the group, who were watching the interaction curiously.

"I like this one," Thor nodded.

"Let's go get this son of a bitch," Steve muttered.
