"ALL RIGHT, the glove's ready," Rocket announced as he cradled it with his tiny hands. Tony had used his tech to form a new and adjustable gauntlet, all six of the stones being placed perfectly in it.

"Question is, who's gonna snap their freakin' fingers?"

"I'll do it," Thor offered immediately as he walked closer to the gauntlet in the middle of the room.

"Excuse me?"

"It's okay," he reached out to grab it but the others moved in the way to stop him before he could, making him back away slightly.

"Stop, stop. Slow down," Tony stepped up.

"Thor. Just wait," Steve said with a dry voice, which had been caused by all the cries he let out. "We haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet."

"I'm sorry. What, we're all just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?"

"We should at least discuss it," Scott suggested.

"Look, sitting here staring at the thing is not gonna bring everybody back," Thor pointed at the gauntlet. "I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So, this responsibility falls upon me."

"Normally, you're right," Tony moved to stand in front of him. "It's not about that."

"It's not that," Thor shushed him. "Stop it! Just let me. Just let me do it. Just let me do something good. Something right."

"Look, it's not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent. I'm telling you. You're in no condition," Tony reasoned.

"What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?"

"Cheez Whiz?" Rhodey spoke up with crossed arms.

Thor grabbed Tony's shoulders and decided to ignore the comment. "Lightning."

"Yeah."

"Lightning won't help you, pal. It's gotta be me," Bruce cut in and everyone's eyes turned to him. "You saw what those stones did to Thanos. They almost killed him. None of you could survive."

Bruce walked closer to the gauntlet and looked down at it with a determined look. Steve watched him from the side, and a part of him wanted to offer himself to do the act, wanting to make sure that (Y/N)'s sacrifice would be worth it; but the thought of the kids back home made him stop.
