📍UPSTATE NEW YORK ≫ ──── ««•◦ ✪ ◦•»» ──── ≪
THE NEWEST FACILITY of the Avengers had been finally established, leading to mostly all of the team to move over and start living together to initiate their training in the enormous compound, which some were happy about.
(Y/N), who had already taken a look on the newest place she would call a home, stayed back in her room when she suddenly received a message from her phone.
(Y/N) opened the message and noticed that Clint was the one who had sent it. The video showed the face of his newborn child, who had the name 'Nathaniel Pietro Barton' written on a onesie.
(Y/N) chuckled at the image of the baby boy (who had also became her godson) and watched the video with interest.
"Say hello to Auntie (Y/N)!" Laura's voice exclaimed through the video, followed by the sound of baby Nathaniel gurgling.
"Adorable," (Y/N) muttered under her breath as the video ended.
(Y/N) looked down at her hands as she remembered the words coming from the video, feeling proud that she somehow had a place where she was welcomed as family, something that she wasn't quite used to.
(Y/N) wanted to cherish the moments with her new family forever, knowing fully well that they'll stick through everything together, just like Steve had said.
Having enough of all those worrying thoughts, (Y/N) stepped out of her room and walked through the halls of the new compound, searching all over the place for Natasha or Steve.
She searched through half of the compound when she found Natasha standing alone in an empty hall, staring blankly at the wall.
"Is it the color of the wall that's distracting you?" (Y/N) made her presence known as Natasha turned to look at her. "I don't like it that much either."
"Very funny, really." Natasha rolled her eyes. "Can't even have a moment to myself."
"Oh, shut up. You love me. What's on your mind?" (Y/N) asked and thought of her next words carefully. "Is it Bruce?"
"Well," Natasha trailed off. "It's stupid, I know."
"It's not. Completely understandable if you're sad or even angry about it," (Y/N) said.
Natasha didn't reply at her words, and (Y/N) took this as an opportunity to lean her head against her shoulder like they used to when they were younger.
"You wanna keep staring at the wall, or do you wanna go to work?" Steve's voice said loudly. "I mean, it's a pretty interesting wall."
"Oh, you wouldn't mind if the wall had (Y/N)'s face on it, would you?" Natasha replied back as the two walked over to him.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes at the statement and turned to Steve. "How do we look?"
"Well, we're not the '27 Yankees."
"We got some hitters," Natasha muttered as she looked at the tablet in her hands.
"They're good. They're not a team."
"They just need someone to beat them into shape," (Y/N) smirked.
The trio walked through a door and stood by the entrance of the room, staring at the newest recruits of the Avengers. They all looked over at the door with a determined look on their faces.
