"STEVE, YOU NEED TO SEE THIS."

Natasha was sat in the couch of Steve's living room, every now and then helping Nina and Leo with their homework as she ate a peanut butter sandwich and flicked through the TV, but a certain network with the news was what caught her eye.

Steve, who was busy in the kitchen, dried his hands with the towel and walked towards the living room to see Natasha increasing the volume, her eyes growing intense while Nina and Leo watched with true curiosity.

"Unrest, in the wake of the recent events has left us vulnerable. Every day Americans feel it." an elder man spoke through a microphone, flashes of cameras being visible in front of his eyes as he spoke to a crowd.

Steve frowned, not knowing what the man was talking about or going to with his speech, opening his mouth to question it before Natasha silenced him with her hand.

"While we love heroes who put their lives on the line to defend Earth, we also need a hero to defend this country," Steve crossed his arms against his chest, fearing his next words.

"We need a real person who embodies America's greatest values. We need someone to inspire us again, someone who can be a symbol for all of us."

Steve saw where this was going and passed a hand through his hair in frustration, Natasha was the same way, burying her head in her hands.

"So, on behalf of the Department of Defense and our Commander-In-Chief, it is with great honor that we announce here today that the United States of America had a new hero."

"Join me in welcoming your new Captain America," the man announced as the door behind him opened and the crowd cheered.

A man walked out the front door and waved at the group with a smile plastered on his face, wearing a blue with red suit with a matching helmet, missing the white of the flag. He held the bright shield that now supposedly belonged to Sam in his hands, winking at the camera.

"What the — " Natasha began but then remembered that she was with two kids beside her.

"He said Captain America, Dad. Isn't Uncle Sam supposed to be Captain America?" Leo asked with innocence.
