We met, we danced
Got swept up in romance
Thought I could never feel that way again
So I took a chance right there and then...
I told you I loved you
But you said you weren't ready
Then I see you with her
And I start to wonder
You used romance as a means to an end
You used honour, that was your trend
All disguises for what's underneath
Lust and betrayal silently snarling their teeth
Was what we had true?
Or were you playing me the whole time
What did I do to make you change your mind?
And leave me for her!
Was it love of which I dared to speak
Which wrought this love affair to its peak?
Melted chocolate hearts and dying rose bed
Leaves me wondering if romance is dead!
