But I Like The Rain

by LittleAmy and Warrior_Prophet

You all care what the weatherman said

And then complain all day

Its only water that falls from the sky

Eventually it will drain away

But I like the rain

When I'm tucked up and dry

In my bed, and I hear

The patter of the rain outside

I love the sound on my window pane

It so relaxes me

Even though it drives others insane

Outside I'm truly free

Sometimes the sky cries

She's perfectly allowed

Her tears make the plants grow

She brings life to the ground

She is one of my best friends

Even though I get so drenched

My mind is refreshed, my body is cleansed

And the fire in my soul is quenched
