She nuzzled in to my arms
Knowing the lick she gave my face
Would be the last of her charms
Before leaving this earthly place
A tear dropped down my cheek
Reminding me of what was lost
But no more will I seek
Too much it seems to cost
For you cannot substitute
One life of love for another
No matter the brown eyes so cute
I'm not yet ready to mother
When the soul keeps longing
The heart grows cold
There's no need for pain prolonging
I guess love was just, bold
No matter, in life, whom you lose
You too will become what is lost
It's something we don't get to choose
When our summer turns to frost
Theme = Lost love but NOT of the luvvy dovey relationship kind.
