What If: Meeting The Guardian Of Civilization Pt.3

Being face to face with Nanashi, still on her ridiculous outift, she had her nonchalant smile plastered on her face.

She looked around, noticing the situation I was in.

"Wanna skip school?"

"What?"

I have so many questions I wanted to ask her, but why was she here?

"Your classroom's atmosphere is kinda wacky. You should get some fresh air since this place kinda reeks of hostility."

Nanashi said, gazing at Shinohara.

"So... Wanna skip?"

That's just running away from the problem...

"Ayanokouji-kun, who is this?"

Horikita asked approaching both Nanashi and I.

I just wanted to sleep...

"This here is Nanashi."

"And what's your relationship with her?"

"I don't know? A benefactor?"

"Oh is that how you think of me Kiyotaka?"

Nanashi said smiling cheerfully at me which made every single male in the vicinity drawn into it.

"That isn't a reason for you to skip school since we have our orientation for the final exam which is more important than your problem."

"If you want to talk about it with someone then you can tell me all about it, but first, you need to recognize your priorities."

Horikita said in succession.

But I didn't want to help the class anymore.

Ignoring her, I looked at Nanashi.

"What's the reason for the invite?"

"I just wanted to let you meet someone."

"And who's this someone?"

"Kiara-senpai."

"Who?"

"A phoenix."

"A what?"

"A phoenix."

I held my temples, processing what she said.

Even Horikita and every person from the vicinity was confused.

"Do you not have time for that?"

"I mean I can make some time but..." I muttered looking at Horikita.

"Then all we need to do is ask for Kronii's help."

I just heard another name from her mouth which I'm not familiar with.

"And who's this Kronii?"

"The Warden of Time."

"The what?"

Seriously... Is this girl for real?

"And what would you need her help for?"

"To turn back time?"

She said as she tilted her head, that was cute but there was more pressing matter currently.

"Ah yes, I can go with you if you ask this Kronii person to turn back time to before the school started today."

Of course that couldn't happen.

Leaping the logic from a barrier to flying to having the ability to time travel is kind of escalating every logic in existence to shame, for all I know, the reason she can fly is because she has some invisible air propeller.

"Good."

She then took something from her pouch, a button...

"That's the device to time travel?"

"Yes, although the device is only a one time use and isn't as powerful as the watch Amelia-senpai has."

"And who's this Amelia?"

"A Time Traveller Detective."

Was she suffering from... 8th grade syndrome or something? Some delusions?

"You don't believe me huh?"

"Who would?"

"Well, that is understandable since I know what kind of kid you are."

Calling me a kid when you look much younger than me is something I wasn't comfortable with.

She then clinged into me.

"What are you doing?"

"We need to be in close contact."

I feel like this wasn't really a mechanics of the device if it really was true.

"Kiyotaka..."

A voice in the crowd was heard throughout the entire room, you can feel the pain in her voice, the anguish and with just a slight push, a sound of someone sobbing.

"Oh is that you're girlfriend Kiyotaka?"

"Ex-girlfriend."

"That's harsh, although I do get your circumstances. So do you wanna say your goodbyes?"

"Why would I? I don't even believe the  thing possible to happen."

The only reason I wasn't ignoring her outright, right now was because she had this unexplainable air about her.

"You sure? Hypothetically what would you do if this was your last meeting with the Kei of this timeline?"

I thought about it for a bit.

Kei was staring at me waiting for my answer, while Nanashi was looking at me, with somewhat of a pitying look.

"I'll say sorry."

"Then if you're sorry, don't say you'll leave me."

Nanashi was looking at Kei and I gently like a warm mother's embrace.

"That isn't possible... Not in this timeline, not in this universe... So all I can say right now is I'm sorry."

Kei just looked down, tears falling down from her eyes.

I wanted to run to her, give her a handkerchief, give her a warm hug...

But that would just be giving her hope.

"I see that we would progress nowhere, should we leave? I'll see you on the other side Kiyotaka."

Nanashi said as she pressed the button, practically glued to me.

I felt somewhat dizzy as my consciousness fades away.

Opening my eyes, as my internal clock kicks in...

"What in the world."

I was in my bed, I checked the time on my phone, it was the exact time I woke up earlier, the date was the same.

I even tried to factory reset my phone, but the time was still the same.

"Absurd..."

It seems that I can consider myself a time traveller from now on.

Ummm... This is beginning to be too interesting for a what if... What ya'll think?

In my opinion this what if deserves a book... Although I won't atm.
