HOPE'S POV

My eyes didn't leave the gates of the compound. She'd walk out those gates, any second now. Unharmed. Perfectly find, not a mark on her. I knew it. She had to!

Edward and Penelope cleared the streets quickly with their abilities and it was just us left with Damon's body on the street waiting. Waiting for something anything to happen.

Time dragged by so slowly. I couldn't even hear Luna talking. It was silent in there. Completely silent, which scared me more. At least if there were shouting I knew she was still alive. I couldn't even hear their heartbeats anymore. I didn't know if that was a good thing or not. Had Luna killed Mikael as he killed her?

No. She would walk out those gates unharmed. I knew it. I just knew it. She had to. If she didn't I don't know what I would do. I don't know how I would cope without my sister. I did life without her. 11 years and since having her in my life, life had just been easier, yes we faced bigger trials but she was right by my side, holding my hand, protecting me. What was I going to do without her?

3rd person

Nik sat on the curb of the sidewalk. His head was in his hands leant on his knees. He was counting his heartbeats, trying to focus on something else. Aidan despite being younger than him had made it clear he was to stay put. Nik decided he had enough on his plate so he listened to him staying put. He was no good to Luna if he lost his temper anyway, that's when he loses control.

Penelope had an arm around her younger brothers waist cuddled into his side as they both look at the building expectantly. Luna wouldn't tell them to clear the street for no reason. And she lost Damon, what did she have to lose? Now was the time to be risky, Penelope thought that Luna may do something stupid but she was too scared to speak her thoughts... Hope was on the edge of a cliff ready to jump at any moment, it was best if negative thoughts were kept to herself in case she pushed Hope to her breaking point.

Edward was numb, he was overtaken with emotion. He was just facing to face the man that killed his parents. He was face to face with the man that took away his family. He looked into his eyes as he took jab after jab to the faces of the evil ones showing no remorse. But now he was left with the numbness the pain and anger left him. It eats him alive.

Cami knelt on the floor beside Damon's body. She tried spell after spell to fix the mess. She thought if Damon just woke up, if he woke up he could go get luna before she did something completely irreversible. He'd fix all of this. They'd be no tears. Andi wouldn't be crying for Damon to wake up. Aidan wouldn't have to be in charge. He was doing a good job keeping the furious and protective boys in line but it's not his job. Luna kept us in check. Luna looked after us. She was almost like a mum... well a big sister. And if Damon woke up then maybe, just maybe he'd get Luna out of that building before it imploded like it inevitably would. Anger and magic never mixed well... Cami knew that. Her father was Kol Mikaelson... he taught her that lesson from a young age.

"Arlo please do something," Cami begged her brother. "Wake him up." She tried again but he brother was arguing with Aidan. He kept trying to push past him to get back into the compound. He ignored Cami and kept pushing at Aidan. "Sit down!" Aidan demanded once again pushing Arlo down to sit beside Nik on the curb.

"Luna told us to stay put." "Luna could be dead!" Nik exploded. He could no longer contain his anger and he was projecting it at the wrong person. "DON'T SAY THAT!" Hope snapped spinning to face Nik with a look of anger but also brokenness, she wasn't hiding it very well everyone was reading it from her eyes. They screamed for help.

"She's not dead... I can feel her." She admitted turning back to the gates eyes locking going back into her trance. Nik lowered himself back down not wanting to push Hope again. She wasn't even holding on, she was free-falling by now and she would hit the ground if something didn't happen soon.
