31: The Spell

ARLO'S POV

"So you want me to anchor you whilst you travel through dimensions to bring our parents back?" I asked her like she was crazy. "Luna the other side collapsed over three decades ago. It's dangerous in there." I tell her. She had hit the stage of delusional. I get she was worried about Hope, but there's a line. She can't risk her life for hope's happiness. She's put her own happiness on the back burner for... well for as long as I've known her, for as long as she's been at the school apparently according to the stories anyway. There's no way she was going through with this. 

She sighed. She looked well-rested today. She had colour to her skin. Her eyes weren't a dull grey that they've been since New Orleans, they were a bright blue mixed with forest greens creating a unique colour that was indescribable. She was dressed in a summer dress, Damon's leather jacket she'd been wearing for almost two years wasn't in sight. Though it was summertime so it was too hot for it. His ring still hung around her neck but she wasn't fiddling with it. She seemed pretty sane... so why was she suggesting going through with this. 

"They're not on the other side. I tucked them away. In their own private dimension. They're safe, and it's a safe place it's not going to implode when I go there, they can see us, they know what we're doing. It's a lot more stable than you think. And it's not that risky." She tried to explain. She showed me the spell again, and her plan that she had written down in great amounts of detail. She showed me diagrams of how the dimensions were layers, where her private dimension for our family was sandwiched between them. She showed the molecular structure of something or another. She'd done her research that was clear. 

"The amount of magic it would take to 12 people back through intact is masses." "Only 10 people would technically be passing through, I'd use the necklace. And Damon's not there, he's found peace, or whatever." She says brushing over that part. Damon's name rolled off her tongue like a sour taste. "So 10 people passing through and back to their bodies... Luna half of their bodies are ash." "Which we have. I can restore them before the next full moon. It'll be fine." She told me sure of it. "I already did dads. His body is exactly how it was, able to hold the same supernatural power as it did before, his skin is not even grey anymore." I looked at her and then back down to the papers on my bed. We were in my college dorm. "I don't have enough magic to hold that type of connection... Hope-"Hope doesn't want to be part of this. We don't even tell Hope we're doing this." She told me firmly... Luna was intimidating when she spoke this way. I nodded to scared to say anything. "We can get you, someone, to Channel... "Andi? She has that upgraded original bite. That could work." "She's too young, I'm not involving her in this... We need someone without emotion." "Penelope?" I suggested. "She's been taking care of Hope and if she was involved it would get back to Hope." "What about Edward?" She offered. "He'd tell Penelope," I inform her she nodded agreeing. "Aidan it is," I say coming to the conclusion Nik has ruled out already due to his protectiveness. 

"So you'll do it?" I nodded hesitantly. "Are you sure?" She asked again. "I'm not forcing you into this. I can find a witch somewhere. A few of them and I can do it." "We're family. We help each other out. Besides without Mikaelson and Claire magic, you'd need at least 8 witches if not more. "Don't feel like you have to. I know I've been forceful but this could get major backlash from the rest of them. Your sister included." We were going behind a majority of the families back... If this didn't work. If I lost the connection with Luna that would be it. I'd be shunned from them forever. Cami would actually kill me. "I'm sure." But we could have our mum back. And Dad and we could be a proper family again. 

"Okay perfect. I'll leave this with you to study." She says referring to the spells that are needed for this all to happen. There's a long process. The spell to create a connection between us too, without linking us in case she gets stuck there or hurt. Her body is more durable than mine therefore we couldn't chance being linked, what doesn't kill her may make her stronger but it could wipe me off the planet. Then there's the spell to channel Aidan. Then to be an anchor for Luna's spell. Then send her in, but I believe she would do that spell herself. Once in she'd have to create a string of connections to each of them to be able to bring them back with her. We'd have to formulate a connection between their soul and spirit to their bodies. And then there's the spell to pull them through masses of layers of dimensions without creating a ripple in them or letting anything dark in. Once they're back to their bodies. We'd have to do a protection spell to assure that no one attacks them whilst they're getting accented with themselves again. Once awake it's done.
