NIK's POV
Something about luna was off today. I mean besides her grieving her parents that was. Something more was going on with her. She told me she was at Hope's this morning. Maybe hope was doing worse than Luna is letting on and she's upset?
She joined me at the school early afternoon to help with the clean up of the hall. It was only right we helped it was our fault it was in such a state in the first place. She was sat on the floor under the windowsill painting part of the mural around the window. I watched her from across the room I was on a ladder hanging the new light fixtures up. She looked so sad, her hand was shaking which never happened when she painted she was always at peace when she was doing art but right now she seemed like a wreck. I looked away and noticed Lizzie watching her with a sad look on her face, she saw me looking and I frowned and nudged my head at Luna. She shook her head. So she didn't know what was up with her either.
I focused back on the light fixtures, Luna will talk when she's ready... I mean she doesn't really talk about her problems ever but I have hopes if she was that far into a bad place she'd ask for some help.
Once the new lights were up I went to get lunch. A few of the kids from the fight were also there, we started sitting together yesterday. I sat next to this Linear kid called Aiden he was one of the kids who were tied up. He was quiet kept to himself mostly but he seemed like a nice enough guy. I mean he was helping with the mess in the hall so he had to me. I can't believe he got dragged into this mess. Wrong place at the wrong time I guess. "Sorry, your first week here has been less than perfect," I say to him as I bite my burger. He shrugged. "You'll have to excuse my brother, he struggles with basic socialisation... Unless you're talking football that is." His younger sister said with a smile. She was very young, cute looking. "It's okay I get it. My cousins can be similar." She smiled at me before turning to her food. "Did you know the people who get hurt in the fire?" She asked with big innocent brown eyes. "Andrea." Her brother scolded. "No, I didn't," I say denying my parents like I have done a majority of my life. "Oh." She looked down again. "Did you?" Her brother answered for her. "No, we didn't." And then they left. They were whispering on their way out he seemed to be telling her off.

PENELOPE'S POV
I laid on my brother's bed whilst he researched at the desk. I looked up at the ceiling as I kicked my legs back and forth. "Will you quit it." He said getting frustrated at me, though he was dispersing his anger. He was really annoyed at the fact he can't find out where the blood fountain was. We know Luna has it. But we also know she's not stupid enough to have it in her house, that would be dangerous for her and her boyfriend Derek. So she had to have put it somewhere.
Edward has been researching properties and their owners, Luna Labonair owns nothing in this town. Luna Labonair is no existent unless you're looking at school records. She got a perfect GPA. Of course, she did. I rolled my eyes.
"Try Derek Salvatore," I tell him. "Derek? Do you mean Damon?" He questioned, looking over his shoulder at me. "Yeah, her boyfriend." I dismiss him and he types away. "He owns some bar, and this place called the Manor." He tells me as he scrolled. "And part of the school." "We knew that already." "The bar is where the pair work, The Manor is where they live and the school is where we are. And I know for sure it isn't here. I've been through every spider-infested dark damp aerie tunnel under this school and it's nowhere.
"Well, I don't know then Penelope." He snapped at me. "You're not exactly helping." He spun on his chair to face me. "I drove to Mexico." I defended myself. "And totalled a car!" He shot back. Normally my brother and I didn't argue so much but since our parents passing we have got a lot of bottled up emotions. I couldn't show him I was hurting, I was meant to be the older one and look after him. And he was just being a boy affected by toxic masculinity. So we're displacing our emotions and projecting them into petty arguments. But we were both intelligent to know this so we didn't take it to heart. At least I hope he didn't. "What does she even want with it anyway?" He asked. "What do we want with it?" He asked again. "We want it because some compelled dweebs want it for Mikael." "So if Luna has it, Mikael doesn't." He said simply. "Yes, but how do we know Mikael hasn't got Luna working for him?" I hit back. "Because she almost killed him but didn't to save you when you froze." "You try having some crazy man, go to stab you with a stake and tell me if you freeze or not." I snapped. I was sick of him bringing that up. "Well, that could have just been a distraction so it didn't blow her cover." "Luna this is real life, not a movie." "In case you haven't noticed our life could movie! Vampires, werewolves, witches, 1000-year-old killers." "'Whatever."
