"Shut the fuck up, you absolute morons!" Kyra shouted making her voice echo through the halls of the mansion of night causing her half brothers and sisters to look at her and fall silent.

She stood at the head of the long, eloquent table with a head full of ideas and screaming for sleep. It has been 11 days since Kyra had an ounce of sleep and almost a month since Nyx fell asleep again. Her naps have been getting longer and more frequent leaving Kyra to do the work since she hated everyone else to do it.

"We have five minutes left in this meeting and we all want this to be over with so let's get on with it, shall we?" Kyra addressed them with gritted teeth and looked down at the papers scattered on the table. "Everything seems to be in order just... Aether go easy on the light, there's been a serious rise in skin cancer," She sighed exasperatedly making him grumble in return.

"Not my fault mortals can't handle me," he mumbled and Oizys and Eris nodded to him in agreement.

"Yeah well, no one cares," Kyra responded monotonously flipping through the papers below her. "I think that covers it," She settled, tapping the stack of papers in her hands on the table to even them and placed them on the large pile of books.

"Meeting adjured," she proclaimed and almost all of them happily disappeared in a fog of darkness except for Philotes and Hemera who lived here permanently. Kyra groaned loudly before slumping into the tall, cushy chair behind her in exhaustion, desperately craving a nap.

And in addition to being a walking zombie from the lack of sleep, her sanity was starting to crumble more than usual from the long visits to the Manor of night. She initially had told Nico long ago that the Manors side effects don't affect Nyx kids, immortal or otherwise, but that was a straight up lie to get him to feel better. She just had gotten used to it.

But finally after 53 hours of being stuck here with work she's  finally free! It's finally the first day of summer which means all the campers were coming back and this summer will be the last summer of staying at that gods forsaken place. Last year Kyra had gotten accepted into The University of New Rome to major in English which was incredibly easy to get accepted in because almost everyone is dyslexic and no one wants to major in English. So it would be an understatement to say she was excited to leave.

Kyra already had living arrangements made, a small apartment she got near campus as a little reward for stopping multiple wars and keeping her half siblings in check.

Like oh, yeah, we know you're a hair away from killing yourself and everyone still hates you for existing so here's an apartment!

Yay....

The tall, ancient grandfather clock behind Kyra chimed, announcing it was exactly 10:00 AM meaning it was time to finally go. She stacked the papers on top of the old books and hauled them into her arms, a grunt escaping from her lips.

"That's my cue to go. Hemera, you're in charge. Call me if something happens," Kyra instructed like usual, heaving the pile in her arms up and willed them to go back to her void causing them to disappear in a cloud of smoke. Oh, did I forget to mention with her in charge of the House of Night that her powers are slowly coming back? I didn't? Well they are because fuck the gods.

"Wha... that's not fair! What about me?" Philotes pouted, crossing her arms across her chest dramatically.

"You can be second in charge," Kyra caved, not wanting to argue with her. Hemera smiled fakely and slowly walked over to Kyra, bending down to her ear. Even though they were in their human forms, all Nyx children still stood over 6 and a half feet tall making Kyra look like an ant.
