Leo's POV
It was the average day for Leo. Wake up, work, eat, work some more, get lectured by Kyra to eat more, go to sleep. The usual. The only difference was he couldn't find Kyra anywhere so he went to her cabin to check on her.
He walked to the corner of camp in the darkest part and easily spotted the familiar black cabin. He walked up to the cabin and knocked several times, waiting. No response. He knocked again but louder, waiting for a response that never came.
"Hey, Kye! You alright in there?" Leo asked, worried something might have happened. 'What the hades?'
"Kye...? I'm coming in..." He shouted through the door and turned the knob with the broken lock from Elly. He opened the door hesitantly as he put his other hand over his eyes.
"Are you decent?" He asked warily with his eyes covered, peaking his head into the room of darkness. He lifted one finger to see through one eye to find a dark figure in the middle of the room.
"Kye? Are you okay?" He asked with concern, stepping forward hesitantly.
"Leo?" The figure asked in a quiet and delicate voice from the middle of the room making Leo walk forward.
"Yeah, yeah it's me. What's wrong?"
"Everything..." She finally turned around and lights flickered on, making him freeze in place. Instead of her usual black hair and bronze skin, she was pure white except for her eyes. Instead of her normal black irises, her entire eyes were pitch black which matched with her painted black lips. She wore dirty rags as clothes and her hair was mattered to her head, looking like she just got out of literal hell.
"Who-" Leo started with horror at this strange yet familiar woman.
"You do not recognize me? Well I guess that makes sense. Post traumatic amnesia can really be a- oh what do you humans say? A huge bitch?" She mused with her smooth, calming voice dripping with mockery. She cocked an eyebrow upwards with a sly smile cementing on her lips.
"I'm sorry, post traumatic what now?"
"Amnesia, mortal. It was something I had to do to get you three imbeciles off my back and so mother would stop her fit." She explained rather vaguely as Leo continues to gape at her. "Although, it did not help to keep her from having a fit since she is just having a bigger one right now," she said to mostly herself.
"What? What are even talking about? Who's your mother?"
"Why, you do not know your own mother-in-law? You must meet them, they would absolutely despise you!" She exclaimed eagerly with an unnerving grin. "I guess future in-laws but tomato tomato!"
'Future in-laws? What is this bat shit crazy lady talking ab-'
Oh. Oh! Oh...damnit
"Did you realize? Did you remember our special time together! Remember you're little quest?" She guessed, grinning like a lunatic, seeing the look of recognition that glazed his eyes.
"Wha- quest? No! You're a daughter of Nyx like Kye, aren't you? It's pretty easy to tell now that I realize, you have the same crazy in your eyes like Kye," Leo noted making her smile fall.
"Oh please! I have nothing in common with a mortal, especially with little miss 'lady in black!' And now more than ever since she got grounded months ago," she complained then snickered. Leo's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as questions flew threw his mind.
"Grounded? What do you mean grounded?!" Leo questioned getting more and more irritated as time ware on making her turn her head towards him.
"I mean grounded, imbecile. She didn't follow the rules of the house and is now facing her punishment of no powers. Zip, zero, nada!" She explained, again very vaguely which made Leo stare at her blankly. "Oh come on! It's not that hard to understand, mortal! I'm just here because I'm bored and I want to torture some one irritating. And you know, aggravate Kyra. I mean seriously it is so easy to infuriate her!"
