A few days passed and a sunny day came. You woke up to a warm touch on your hands. A hand was holding yours. You opened your eyes and was welcomed with the purple eyes again. You had a faint smile as you saw his surprised face. You blinked a few times to adjust your eyes to the bright sunlight from the open window. You looked back at him and he was still looking at you.

"Hello." The boy said with a small smile.

"Hello..." you said softly.

You're still not used to talking because it was hard for you to find your voice and your words.

"I'm Izana. I was the boy you saw the first time you woke up."

"My name is y/n..." your voice almost sounded hesitant as you said the name the doctor told you.

The boy stared at you for a second before looking at the door then back at you. You then noticed another person standing there. It was a boy but he was slightly taller than Izana. He came closer and you noticed a scar on his forehead that curved down to his left eye.

"Hello, I'm kaku." The boy with the scar said.

You smiled at them both.

"We visit you every Wednesday and Saturday. We're glad that you're finally awake." Izana said with a smile.

"The doctor told me that... Izana... Can I ask you a question?"

He hummed as a response.

"Why do you always visit me? I was told that I had no relatives or anyone at all and I have only been here for 2 months..."

His expression changed. His eyes showed confusion, he went silent for a minute and then smiled again.

"Because you were alone and suffering... I saw myself in you." He chuckled softly "That's why I wanted to always be by your side."

For some reason you felt his sadness. You can't explain it but you felt connected to him in some way. You looked at him with teary eyes. Your emotions are all mixed up and you can't name what you were feeling right now. It didn't feel familiar at all.

"I see..." that was the only thing you could say.

As much as you wanted to feel something, you were also scared. What if they leave and you'll be alone again? Your mind almost went blank again until Izana held your hand.

"We're your friends starting today!" He smiled brightly "You're mine now!"

And that was it. Your tears started falling as you looked at him and kaku. They were both smiling at you warmly.

"Okay!" you smiled back.

'So this is what it feels like?' you thought to yourself.

You felt at home.

It's been years and your illness didn't progress but it wasn't cured yet. It was a chronic illness after all. You had to stay in the hospital instead of the orphanage because of your condition. It wasn't safe for you to be outside because of your weak immune system. Your body became fragile because of all the surgeries you've had and the medications you're taking. At first it bothered you that you can't stay with Izana and Kaku despite waiting for years. But they still do visit you every Wednesday and Friday, but sometimes they sneak out of the orphanage. That sneaking then turned to a daily visit. They also helped you stroll around the garden to get some fresh air and sunlight. That's why you didn't mind not being able to live in the orphanage with them anymore. The hours you spend with them is enough for you. Being with the people you love and cherish the most was more than enough.

"Y/n! We brought these!" Izana ran to you holding a small bag of goodies with Kaku by his side as always.

It was a Wednesday afternoon and you're in your wheelchair admiring the garden beside your room.

Izana gave you a gentle hug afraid to hurt you in any way then sat down beside you.

You giggled as you saw him all excited "What are those?"

Izana held out a small box to you "We bought it in the café near here, go on try it!"

You opened the box and saw chocolates. They would always give you treats every time they get to go out and go to different places inside the city.

"It's good! Thank you!" You smiled at them as you ate.

"Anytime" Kaku smiled as he stuffed his face with the chocolates making you and Izana laugh.

You spent the day listening to them talk about their stroll in the city. Their stories excite you so much and sometimes it makes you want to go outside too. But then deep inside you just love hearing their stories. Them having fun was enough for you. The both of them was you happiness after all.

After eating all the chocolates, the boys got sleepy. Kaku lied down on the grass while Izana sat beside your feet.

"It's tomorrow isn't it?" you asked as you were brushing Izana's hair.

You felt a little ache in your heart as you thought of him and kaku leaving to go somewhere far. You didn't know the reason why they're finally leaving the orphanage because they weren't adopted yet. Izana just told you that the orphanage let him and kaku go.

"Yeah, we'll always visit you here. And then once you're all healed up, we'll take you home with us." He looked up at you as he held your cheeks.

"I'm happy for the both of you."

"I'll take you home soon..."

You smiled "But I'm already home every time I'm with you"

Izana froze and blushed. He couldn't quite find the right words to say.

Kaku looked at the both of you with a smirk "How sweet"

You brushed it off and continued to brush Izana's hair.

"I'll come back for you..." Izana whispered as he closes his eyes.

His words comforted you every time. Even though you wanted to be with him all the time, you know that you'll just be a hindrance to him. Tomorrow will be the day he's finally getting his freedom. He and Kaku will live their own lives and you won't be able to see them as much as you do now.

The thought scared you so much that you wanted to stop them. But you just can't. You love them so much that you didn't want them to be stuck here with you.

You wanted them to be free. And so you'll pretend that it doesn't make you sad even the tiniest bit.
