It was dark, so dark that it makes your eyes hurt. It was so silent that it's deafening. It was suffocating, the state of nothingness. It was so heavy on your chest and your breathing.

Tears started falling down your face but you couldn't hear your own sobs. You can't move or speak.

You don't know where your heart was but it hurts. You know it hurts. You could feel pain from cuts but you can't tell where. You can't even tell if you're standing, sitting, or lying down.

You tried to remember anything but there was none. You don't even know your name or if you even exist. The endless questions are circling around your mind.

There was only your emotions and pain.

This went on and on for what felt like years and decades. Eternity even. Yes, it felt like an eternity.

You wanted so badly to wake up from this dream, if it was one. You wanted to escape and to even die if it's the only way to stop this suffocation.

You wanted to die. All you could think of was death and how it would end everything that you're feeling right now. All the sufferings will be gone if only you die.

But then you felt something, a warm hand on your cheeks and all of a sudden, your senses came back.

It was bright, it was warm, and you could hear a sweet voice talking to you.

As soon as you opened your eyes, you saw the most beautiful person you've ever seen. He was a young boy with a bright atmosphere around him. With a warmth that contrasts this bright empty place.

"Are you alright?" His hands were so warm against your cheeks and his voice was so comforting.

His hair was white and his eyes were the most exquisite color. His skin was so beautiful too.

You stared at him in awe. He felt like home but you're not quite sure why. You don't even know what it's like to be at home and you don't even know him too.

"You're crying..." He said as he wipes the tears off of your cheeks.

"oh..." you whispered as you held your cheeks where his fingers touched.

"You're sad."

You didn't quite know what to say about that because you don't even understand why you feel that way. But as you continue to look at him, you also felt sadness. You don't know why but it makes you sad.

"I'll tell you something beautiful so you won't be sad anymore!" he said with a bright smile.

You nodded to encourage him. He sat down beside you and told you stories that felt so familiar to you, but his words were all blurry. The moment you hear the stories, it disappears, leaving only a fleeting memory. A feeling so unknown, yet so familiar.

His voice was soothing and every word he spoke was full of wonders and beauty. It was as if you knew every single thing he speaks about but have forgotten. And when you have a grasp on it, finally getting to remember, it fades again.

"Look, it's snowing!" he said as he stood there with a smile on his face, holding your hands.

You looked up to where he was staring at and saw that snow started falling. There was nothing but you, and him, and this snow.

It was beautiful and cold, and then everything was bright.

It seems like after that nothingness, this beautiful person became your everything.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yes..." you managed to answer.

"Did you know that everytime it snows, something beautiful happens?" he spoke, almost a whisper.

You turned to him because you felt sadness in his tone. But you saw a faint smile on his lips, and his eyes were looking far ahead. He was looking at something, somewhere, someone.

You were not sure if he's replaying the past or if he's looking into the future. But whatever it was, you knew it was a painfully beautiful memory, for his eyes says it all.

You stood there, looking at him and the wonders in his eyes. Until something flashed in front of yours.

You never knew memories carries a certain amount of warmth.

Everytime a snowflake touches your skin, a memory returns to you. Glimpses of a person's voice, a beautiful place with flowers, and then a necklace.

You held your chest, and to your surprise, there was something there. You held it and as you stared at it, your memories returned.

"Izana..." you whispered as tears started streaming down your face.

The young boy looked at you with a bright smile.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that... I didn't want to die... I want to be with you..." you cried as you sank to your knees.

You felt so horrible and ashamed for wanting to die. You felt guilt because how could you forget the very person you love the most?

How could you forget Izana Kurokawa?

"Come back..." You heard the young Izana's voice plead.

But when you raised your head to look at him, the darkness came back.

Everything was dark again and it was silent. There was nothing. The nothingness returned, but this time you have someone in your heart. You have Izana to come back to.

"I'm sorry Izana... forgive me..." you cried.

As you were crying, you heard a soft beeping sound. It was the faintest sound but you could hear it. You stood up and started walking even though there was nothing to see. You followed the sound until the darkness got lighter and lighter.

The sound was louder this time but then everything was so blurry. your legs stopped working and it feels like you're not standing anymore. It felt as if you're lying down and there was something warm again in your hands.

Your eyes suddenly had the urge to shut close, but you did your best to keep it open. You knew that if you close your eyes, you'll forget again. You'll go back to that nothingness.

"No, I won't forget you again..."

You fought as hard as you could, with tears streaming down your face.

"I'll come back... I'll come back..." you cried as you held your necklace.

And then finally, you were back home.

When you fully opened your eyes, it was bright for a moment, and then there you were, lying down with Izana sleeping beside you, his hand holding yours.

"Izana..." you whispered.
