"Please, let me spend my days with them."

The lights from the garden glowed as it peeked through the thin curtains of your room's huge windows. They looked blurry to you  but you still smiled because they glowed so beautiful.

"But..." the doctor whispered.

Your hand was now on the necklace that Izana gave you. The doctor's news was beautiful for you, despite it's painful possibilities.

"We both now that if it ever turned the wrong way, there's nothing we can do."

And with that, the doctor couldn't argue anymore. Because what you just said was true and she knows that more than anyone else. It was her who told you that very thing  after all.

"Don't be sad, we still don't know if it'll ever turn that way. Who knows, maybe things could go right this time." you smiled at her but your tears are now falling down your cheeks.

She clasped her hands together as she tried to keep herself from crying in front of you. Through the years, she got attached to you and saw you as a daughter. Seeing you now after she broke the news to you, is painful for her.

"You told me that there's a chance that I can live like normal people do. I'd like to choose that chance and hope."

You held her hand as you smiled warmly at her. You knew that she's probably blaming herself for not being good enough even though she knows it well that there's nothing that can heal you.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." she said as she cried.

"Don't be sorry. I get to live with Izana and Kaku now. I've been waiting for this day for so long. So please keep this conversation a secret, okay?"

The doctor was hesitant because she knew that she also promised Izana that she'll tell him everything about your condition. She can't just sit and watch.

"I will tell them myself once I know where this will take me... But until that day comes, I just want to live with them like nothing's wrong. I just want to be happy with them. So can you keep the promise for me?"

"I... I will keep the promise." she whispered.

You smiled at her as you held her hands to stop them from trembling even though yours was trembling too.

"Thank you. You don't know how happy this makes me. I will finally get to live with them." you said as you wiped your tears and smiled even wider.

You're now trying to convince yourself that it's fine and that everything's fine. You're trying to believe your own words. You're trying to convince yourself that they're true and that they will be reality. Because if you don't, you know that you'll break like you weren't broken before.

"I'll tell them tomorrow that your discharge is next week and that they can take you home by then." The doctor said.

"Thank you." you smiled again.

Your smile and the many times you said thank you is making her tears come back again. She's trying to keep it in because she didn't want to ruin your resolve. She knew that you're probably about to break yourself.

"I'll be leaving now, you need to sleep early since they'll be here early."

She looked at your smile one last time as she turned and closed the door. Her tears ran down her cheeks as she returns to her office.

You on the other hand smiled as you stared at the fairy lights on the garden. You kept your mind filled with thoughts of finally going home to Izana. You giggled at what reaction he'll have when he finds out you'll be discharged next week. Kaku will probably  carry the Haitanis on both of his arms as he shouts.
