Izana stayed with you for two days. Kaku was the one who acted as leader during those two days so you barely get to see him. But he would visit for a few minutes at night before you sleep, and then he'd be gone when you wake up.
During Izana's stay, you recovered little by little. It was as if his mere presence was your medicine. He never left your side.
"Izana?" You called him as he was wheeling you in the streets around the hospital.
"Yes, y/n?"
"If ever this happens to me again, if I get random attacks, I want you to just continue with what you're doing. Don't stop for me. You don't have to come, I want to try and deal with things by myself. I can't have you running here every time I get sick..."
Just last night, when you saw Izana's worried face again, you realized something. You realized how weak you are. You're already physically weak and you're emotionally weak too. You hated it because you're adding up to Izana's worries. You can't be a burden to him forever.
Izana stopped and then kneeled down in front of you.
"What's on your mind? Please tell me..." He said as he held both of your hands.
You're contemplating whether you should tell him or not. But seeing him now, you knew you needed to be honest. You wanted to let him know your thoughts.
"Nothing, its just that... I want to be strong too, you know? If I want to fully recover, I need to keep my mind strong too."
Izana's eyes softened as he heard you speak. He sighed before speaking.
"But my Queen, you're already strong as you are."
It was true that Izana saw you as a strong girl. He's always seen you in that way ever since he got to know you. He admired your will to live and your hopes. This was the reason why he wanted to be stronger and stronger. He wants to protect and provide for you so you won't have anything to worry about.
"You give me way too much credit sometimes." you said as you smiled at him.
"You think it's too much because never give yourself any."
His response made you stop. You didn't know what to say at all.
"I know that you want to be strong and independent. I respect that. But please let me be here beside you as you do that."
"Okay."
"Okay..." He smiled.
Izana's words never failed to make your heart warm. The only thing you could do was look at him and smile. You looked at him as he was right there, so beautiful.
The both of you watched the sunset from the garden. He was humming to you as he intertwined your fingers. His thumb caressing your hands. You stared at him as his eyes were closed.
Izana's hair was being blown softly by the wind. His eyelashes looked so pristine and his skin was kissed by the setting sun. He was the most beautiful you've ever seen.
His calm face, his soothing voice, his bright orchid eyes, and his warmth. Everything about him was perfect.
You just simply can't believe that you have him by your side. You can't believe that someone this beautiful and pure was given to you despite all the ugliness you have in your life. Despite all the pain and sadness, you have this wonderful person with you.
The morning came and Izana will be leaving. Izana was leaning his head on your hands with his eyes closed as you were there lying down, taking your injected medicines.
These doesn't scare you anymore and you're now accustomed to the pain from the injections. But Izana knew that it probably still hurts and it worries him. Everytime he sees you during surgeries or dialysis, he gets too scared. He knows that he needs to be strong for you but he just can't help but be scared about the possibilities. He hated the thought but it won't go away no matter how much he tries not to think about them.
Kaku arrived he waved at you with a smile, he was with two men you've never seen before. They were standing outside your open door waiting for the doctor to finish injecting your medications.
The one with braids was talking to Kaku about something you can't hear because they were whispering. The other one with glasses was looking at you. His face was serious and had a small frown.
"We're all done." Your doctor said as she smiled at you, then left the room.
Izana's head shot up, smiling as he kissed your forehead for doing a good job in taking your meds. He always does this as if you're a little kid who's scared of injections. But you love it anyways.
Kaku greeted the doctor and then went and whispered something to Izana before turning to you.
"How are you, our Queen?" he smiled while patting your head.
"I'm fine as always." you smiled too.
Kaku sat down beside you as he checks your vitals displayed on the monitor. He was also holding a folder that contains your recent check up and blood count.
Izana looked at the two men behind him and motioned them to come closer.
"Y/n, I'll introduce you to someone." Izana said as he smiled at you.
The man with braids smiled at you while the other one just looked at you with a bored face.
"This is Ran and Rindou Haitani. They will sometimes come here to check on you. If you need anything, you can tell them, okay?"
You nodded to Izana and smiled at the brothers. Ran waved at you while Rindou was only staring at you. Izana looked at the brothers with a serious face, making Ran chuckle a little and Rindou just looked away. The truth is, Izana didn't really want you to meet the brothers but Kaku told him that you need to know who they are so that you won't be uncomfortable when seeing them.
"I'll go now, my Queen. Don't forget what I told you, okay?"
"Okay, I promise."
"Good girl." Izana cupped your cheeks as he kissed your forehead. He then looked at you for seconds as he smiled.
He looked like he wanted to say more but he just smiled amd then stood up to leave.
"Byebye" Kaku stood up too and patted your head.
Ran waved at you too as they all went outside. You waved at him and Rindou with a smile. The moment they closed the door, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath and smiled.
You pulled out your journal from under your pillows and wrote down the things that happened. You'd do this everytime because you don't want to forget a single thing about the days that passes through. Every moment was precious to you and you cherish them with all your heart.
As you finished writing things down, you stared at Izana's name that you just wrote. You touched it as a smile formed on your lips.
"I miss you already, my King..."
You remembered his face from that time you watched the sunset. He was so beautiful and you just can't wait to spend the rest of your days with him as soon as you recover.
The thought of living with him and Kaku filled your mind as you wrote things down again.
"This time, I'll do everything I can to recover and stay strong so that I can be with you..." you whispered to yourself.
