"Come in!" you said as you kept your journal under your pillow when someone knocked on your door.
Kaku came in holding a glass of milkshake. Izana left hours ago to go to Tenjiku, you then texted Kaku to come back as soon as he can so that he can help you with the birthday surprise.
"Oh it's you! Here look at this!" you got up from your study table and showed him the journal.
Kaku handed you the milkshake as he looked at the journal you've been working on.
"Izana would love this." he smiled.
"Really?"
"Y/n, he loves everything you give him." he chuckled.
It was true, in the past you've always given Izana the collected short letters or notes that you wrote for him every single day. He kept them all in his room, reading it at night to make him feel safe and calm.
"So, I also have this plan but I don't exactly know how to do it... Here look at this."
You handed Kaku a sketch of a dining table with candles. Your plan is to set up an intimate dinner with all of his friends. You'd be the one to prepare everything and cook the food. You haven't cooked for him yet that's why you really wanted to do this for his birthday.
"I must say this is really sweet." Kaku said as he raises his eyebrows at you.
"I need to go buy stuffs and ingredients, so... Please convince Izana to let me go out with you."
Izana hasn't let you out on your own yet and you knew he won't let you anytime soon. You respect his decisions since he's just worried for your safety, but right now you really need to shop for his birthday.
"Alright. But knowing him, he'd want to go with you."
He's right, if you ask Izana he would actually come and accompany you. But you can't let that happen or the surprise will be a ruin. Even though you've never tried to ask for his permission you knew he's say that he'll come with you.
"What do we do?"
"You ask him when he's about to head out and I'll tell him that I, the Haitanis, and Koko will go with you. There's no way he'll be worried if you have all of us with you."
He held his hands up for a high five because of how proud he was of his idea. The both of you laughed as you continued to plan for the decors, the flowers, the meal to cook, and the special gift you'd want to give Izana.
