Chapter 2: Is this Real?

EJ POV

"EJ! EJ! Wake up! Are you okay?" I can hear Ashlynn yelling at me while lightly slapping my face to wake up.

"Ouch.. Yeah, I'm okay, I think." I said to my cousin. "I'm sorry, I'm just trying to process everything. Is this real? Like are we actually Power Rangers?"

"It is real, EJ. You and your friends are destined to become the next set of Power Rangers" Zordon said to us.

"I'm sorry, master, mr., miss Zordon, don't really know what you are. But are you foreal?" Kourtney asked the floating head.

"Would it be better if Alpha 5 and I transform into something that is more comforting for you all?" Zordon asked us.

"Uh, yeah. I guess that could help." Big Red said. Everyone was acting kind of calm about everything that was happening. Was I the only one that was internally freaking out? I mean we fell through a hole, in the middle of our cafeteria.. Are we dead?

Before, I could even say anything. I see Zordon and Alpha 5 transform themselves into Miss Jenn and Mr. Mazzara respectively. Everyone's eyes got wide and we were all shocked.

"There. Is that better? Alpha 5 and I have done our research and we have determined that these are what trusting adults look like in your eyes." Zordon, who now looks like Miss Jenn, said.

"I guess it does make it a little more comforting." Seb said, holding onto Carlos' arm.

"Great, now that looks are out of the way. It's time for you to step forward and claim your powers." Zordon said as Alpha 5, who now looks like Mr. Mazzara, steps forward.

"EJ Caswell, please step forward." Zordon says in a louder voice. Oh god, am I going to die? Why does she want me to step forward? God, I'm so nervous..

"EJ, with your quick thinking, strength, and bravery, I am choosing you as leader of the group. You will step forward and become the next Red Power Ranger." Zordon says as I step forward.

"Me? You want me to be the leader of the Power Rangers?" I asked nervously. I turn around seeing all of my friends with a huge smile on their faces. They all look so happy for me, do they want me to be their leader?

"Yes, you might not think so right now, but you possess great leadership qualities and are fit to lead this team." Zordon said to me.

"Uh- I uh- thanks Zordon. I won't let you down." I said with a half smile on my face.

"Gina Porter, please step forward." Zordon says. Gina steps forward next to me and grabs my hand for support.

"Gina, with your wit, smarts, and beauty I have chosen you to be the next Pink Power Ranger and to be the 2nd in command of this team." Zordon says. I look at Gina and she has a huge smile on her face, she doesn't even look scared at all, typically Gina.

"Thank you Madam Zordon, I won't let you down." Gina says, while bowing.

"Carlos Rodriguez, please step forward." Zordon says. I turn to Carlos and he is still fanning himself trying to keep cool and remain calm. Does Zordon really want him to be a Power Ranger? Carlos steps forward next to Gina grabbing her hand for comfort.

"Carlos, with your stealthiness, courage, and humor, I am choosing you to become the next Black Power Ranger." Zordon says to Carlos. Carlos immediately screams and tears of joy come down his face.

"Thank you, thank you, Miss Zordon. You are a Queen and I won't let you down." Carlos says to Zordon and literally begins to bow down to her. Only Carlos could pull this off.
