Chapter 20: The Docks

"EJ! PLEASE! EJ!" Ricky said as tears started to fall from his eyes. His boyfriend just laid there, unconscious and without any ranger powers...

"Ricky.. We have to get him back to Madam Zordon and Alpha now." Seb said. Ricky just nodded his head and Big Red was able to transport all of them back to the command center.

As all of the boys arrived at the command center, Ricky immediately fell to the ground with EJ in arms.

"OH MY GOD, EJ!" Ashlyn said, running over to her cousin.

"Ricky! Are you okay? What happened?" Nini said embracing Ricky in a big hug.

"There was this monster and lksdfkljasdf - Zedd and jslkjgipasjf de-morphing, and, and, and.. '' Ricky couldn't get any words out. He was crying, his heart was racing, his mind was all over the place, he felt like he was going to faint. So Carlos jumped in to explain the whole thing.

"Ricky and EJ were finding some villain called Lord Zedd. When we got there, EJ was unconscious and Ricky was about to get killed by Lord Zedd before Seb started to shoot at him causing him to back off of Ricky. Then this giant beam came from the sky and took Lord Zedd. We were able to get rid of Lord Zedd for now, but EJ was... like this."

"Thanks Carlos." Ricky finally said.

"LORD ZEDD IS BACK?!" Madam Zordon interrupted the conversation.

"Back? What do you mean back?" Big Red questioned.

"Alpha, take EJ into the healing chamber immediately. He needs to get some rest." Mada Zordon instructed Alpha to do so.

"Will- will he be okay?" Ricky asked.

"Yes he will be, but Ricky... You need to tell me everything that happened during this fight. Lord Zedd is not an ordinary villain. He is the worst villain possible, he makes Rita Repulsa look like an angel. Now Ricky, tell me everything." Madam Zordon told Ricky.

The other rangers gathered around the main console as Ricky told Madam Zordon and everyone else what had happened. He told them how Lord Zedd came out of nowhere, how they tried to put up a fight, and how Lord Zedd took EJ's morpher. However, he didn't mention the part where Ricky would be trading his morpher for EJ's later that night.

"This is worse than I thought. EJ will get better... slowly. But he would get better faster, if we get his morpher back. Your ranger powers are connected to your DNA and with it your body heals quicker. We need to devise a plan to get EJ's morpher back and fast." Madam Zordon told the rangers.

Ricky had to tell them all something super quick or else they would all end up like EJ. He can't risk his friends getting hurt because it is all his fault. So Ricky just thought of something off the top of his head.

"What if we start tomorrow?" RIcky suggested.

"Huh?" Everyone else questioned.

"Yeah. I mean I'm super tired, emotionally drained. And-and why are you guys in your rangers suits?" Ricky decided to change the subject to something else.

"Oh well, we ran into some monsters too on our dates. But we dealt with them, I hope. Kourt was in trouble so we went to help her out, while the guys went to help you and EJ out." Nini said.

"Oh, so yeah exactly. Everyone is tired and drained. Why don't we start planning tomorrow? Get a good night's sleep and come with fresh minds." Ricky said with a smile, causing everyone to look at him weirdly.

"Ricky, are you okay? Did you hurt your head too hard when fighting?" Gina asked.

"No, no. I'm fine! Let's just all get some sleep. And Madam Zordon if you don't mind, can I stay here with EJ? I don't want to be away from him for too long." Ricky asked.
