Chapter 9: A Mega What?

Did EJ Caswell just tell Ricky Bowen he loved him?

Ricky had no idea what to do in that moment. EJ Caswell, thee EJ Caswell, just confessed his love to Ricky... Was it an accident? On purpose? Did he mean it? What should I do? All of these thoughts were flowing through Ricky's head. His mind was going a thousand miles an hour, but his body was frozen.

By the time he was able to come to his senses, EJ was already gone, running towards the doors to meet his friends. Ricky tried to catch up with the jock, but once he ran out the doors, he couldn't find EJ. He looked around the whole school, in the parking lot, on the field, and nothing. It's like EJ just disappeared..

EJ didn't even realize that he said those three precious words out loud (well two words), he just smiled at Ricky and went to go meet up with the other rangers. When he ran outside of the school, he only saw the rangers waiting for him.

"Where is Nini, Big Red, and Seb?" EJ asked the group.

"They teleported back to the command center already. Madam Zordon needed them." Gina said.

"C'mon we have to go! What took you so long?" Kourtney asked EJ.

"Na-nothing."

"What did you have to talk to Ricky about?" Carlos asked with a smirk on his face.

EJ didn't know what to say. Should he just tell his friends right there that he was-was gay and that he liked Ricky and just told him that he loved him?

Ashlynn noticed EJ's mood changed. She grabbed onto his arm and immediately read his mind. So she stepped in (again).

"Later guys, we have to go now! The city is under attack!" Ashlynn said, making the rangers snapback to reality.

EJ lifted his head and just smiled at Ashlynn. "Thanks." He said to her.

"When you're ready, we are here for you." She said with a smile.

EJ smiled and then said, "Alright let's go!" and with that the rangers teleported to the danger downtown.

The rangers were fighting off the putty patrol as much as they could while also getting the people to safety. Gina was tackling putties to the ground, Kourntey was running circles around them, Carlos was kicking them left and right, Ashlynn was punching them, and EJ was battling as many as he could. They fought off the putty patrol and were about to leave when they saw something? No, someone.

"IT'S HIM! THE GREEN POWER RANGER!" Kourtney said, pointing to the ranger and monster that were attacking the city in the distance.

"Rangers quickly, you need to morph!" Madam Zordon said through their communicators.

"Right! IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"

"Red Ranger Power"

"Pink Ranger Power"

"Blue Ranger Power"

"Black Ranger Power"

"Yellow Ranger Power"

The rangers quickly morphed and headed straight to the monster. Kourtney, Carlos, and Ashlynn fought the monster, while Gina and EJ took on the green ranger. The rangers were trying the best they could, but they couldn't keep up with the monster, they were losing.

"Guys! Guys! Can you hear me?" Big Red said to the rangers, who were able to hear him in their helmets.

"What is it, Big Red?" EJ asked him.
