Lulu was riveted. Both by the television, and by the smell of chili that was being prepared in the kitchen behind her.

After her short conversation with Kelly over text, they both were well aware of the burden they seemed to have place themselves with between Greta and Eli. And yet somehow, she suspected to have picked the better side of the conversation, no doubt envisioning the bombastic rants and decrees Greta was making to her wife over at the house.

Still, she knew the silent treatment between her and Eli was no better, and would have to come to an end sooner or later. They couldn't pretend that nothing was wrong. She couldn't enthrall herself over her new obsession with watching Power over here while he cooked and they disclosed nothing about his true feelings for Greta.

"So do you like, love her now? Or no?" She then dared to ask, only to get nothing back from his end of the apartment.

And so, with a huff, she tried again. "Where's Alex?"

"His sister had a wedding back in Canada." He finally said. "Got the place till the end of the weekend."

"Hm. So are you and Greta gonna go back out again?"

"No, Luna."

"Why not?"

Sensing the agitation in his vibe, she couldn't help but to smirk in satisfaction. She watched him walk over to her after his preparation of the chili. And as he sat down next to her, Lulu's blue eyes scanned every fragment of Eli's emotional spectrum with teeming interest as though she were only seconds away from deciphering his true feelings.

She lied deeper into the couch, with her head on his shoulder. Feeling his arm around her body sent her into a much deeper ease as she clutched the blanket tighter to herself. "So how come you haven't come by to see us in the last few days?"

Then Eli sighed as he searched for the right answer. "Guess I just been busy and all that."

"You okay?"

"You shouldn't be askin' that."

"C'mon, why not?"

He scoffed some, and pointed down to her belly, where she was reminded once more about the small, two month-long bump forming beneath the large green sweater she snatched from Kelly's drawer. "How's is he anyways?"

And quirking a brow, Lulu had no choice but to humor him. "How do you know the baby's a he?"

"'Cause Kelly's been praying for a boy. And she knows that if she get a girl, I ain't gonna be of no help, but with a boy, I ain't goin' away no time soon. I gotta be there with y'all and him 24/7. And somethin' tells me she about to get what she wants."
