The foursome ate through their first round of breakfast as Carly Rae Jepsen sauntered them along over the jukebox.
Lulu was in bliss, and Kelly knew to be just close enough for when she'd get sleepy and overly affectionate amid her satisfaction. Cora, however, tried her hand at retelling her story again. She pertained from entering his name in the conversation, however.
Mostly because she thought that by putting his name out into the ether of their friend group's various topics, any future references to the possibility of her seeing him once more would be damn near inevitable. And she already settled with the fact that it would never happening again.
"...And when I got out his shower, I got dressed, he walked me to my car, and it was onwards back to the loft."
From the impressed look on Kelly's face, to the astonishment upon her sister's, all of their reactions had been no more expected or hoped for in Cora's mind. Even Lulu showed her excitement to the story seconds after giving her mouth a break from the eggs on her plate.
"Oh, I'm so proud of our little Cora. The little book nerd cheerleader now springing out into her hoe-phase like the beautiful flower she is!"
Cora rolled her eyes and blushed to the statement, then as she ate, she heard from Kelly the one question she dreaded to expect. "So when are you and this guy catching up again?"
"Never happening." She claimed, ignoring the groans.
"But you just said that it was good dick!" Complained her sister.
"Oh, it was wonderful dick. Magical even. But he lives nearly a half-hour away, and that's if the traffic's good. Plus, where he lives is shady as fuck. I'm not risking it. Besides, at least now you all can stop teasing me about being so damn innocent."
"Please, if we did, it was out of sheer adoration." Said Lulu, whose mouth was refilled with waffles again. "But congratulations, anyway. Seriously, look at us. You're living your single life lavishly. Me and Kelly are gonna be moms if this baby doesn't make me explode first..."
But with an endearing smile, Kelly kissed her wife's cheek before rubbing her side as Lulu continued on. "And Greta's actually putting herself in a nice and stable relationship. I'm proud of us, doing all of these grown up things."
Greta scoffed in her iced tea. "Please... We're just cruising until he gets bored of me." That was enough to make Kelly giggle, however.
And with a quirked eyebrow, Kelly disagreed. "Don't hold your breath sweetheart, I told you he's hooked on you."
A gleaming, cocky smirk became of Greta's face afterwards, then she shrugged in concurrence. "Fine, maybe you're right. I got a boyfriend and he's all over me!"
