That smile stayed on her face for the rest of the afternoon. There had even been an elongated moment where Greta nearly forgot to check her phone. And in the moments where she recalled it being in her back pocket, she had no need to take it out.
Everything she needed tonight was right here.
She didn't know what was going to happen after they all leave Lulu and Kelly's house. She wasn't even sure as to what happened when they were in that room. But she didn't care. For now, she was Greta, and he was Eli.
As the girls braced for their Brooklyn 99 marathon in the living room, she remained in that kitchen with him, watching on as Eli cooked the food for everyone. It was to a point where she enjoyed watching him work his magic over that stove. As all the good smells of the dinner lingered themselves into the air, she was allured to wandering what it would be like if he cooked a thing or two in her loft as well.
"If you spend the night at my place, will you cook me breakfast in the morning?" She asked him from the kitchen table. And turning to offer his attention, Eli cleansed his hand of the excess flour left behind. And making his way over to that very same table to meet her, he grinned beneath his beard.
"What you tryna eat?"
"Cook me French Toasts." She offered.
Then, he asked her. "Is that your favorite?"
"I guess." Shrugged Greta. "I mean, who doesn't like French Toasts? But I better warn you, I don't think I have a lot of ingredients to help you out back home."
"Well, how much is you lacking?"
At first, she construed her face to a guessing expression, pondering on an answer she knew more than well enough. "Try all of it...?"
That got him to laugh, as did she before shuffling her chair closer to his. "We'll go grocery shopping."
"When you tryna go?"
"What if you get one of them to watch the food now," She whispered to him. "that way, the quicker we get home, the quicker I can suck your di-"
Though, before she could finish, Kelly's voice could be heard from above them, as she was now standing just a few feet away from the pair. "Hey, bitch?" Different versions of annoyance dressed Greta and Eli's faces at the sight of her.
But Kelly couldn't care less.
"The two of you aren't even sneaky. You wanna go and have make-up sex, you wait until we're all done with our night."
