Alternate Chapter 38

Jennie's POV

"What the hell was that about?" I shouted in anger, Lisa is on the couch crying while Rose' is on her side comforting her.

"Lisa, what happened?" I asked Lisa, "You know I will always be by your side, always. I will always protect you but in this situation..." I clicked my tongue, "How can you do this to Marion? He's busting his ass off to make you happy and not even once he made you sad but you're still unsatisfied of him?" I continued.

Seeing the sobbing form of Lisa, I slowly exhaled to calm myself and sat beside her, I put my hand over her back.

"Tell me... Tell us... We want to know what exactly happened so we can help you." I said as my voice sounded with concern seeing two of them extremely hurt.

"I didn't know why I said that. I was just overwhelmed with so much emotion that I yelled at him saying those words I never meant to say." Lisa explained in between of sniffs and wiping off her tears. 

"Unnie... I hurt him, I hurt him so bad." Lisa cried continuously on Rose's shoulder. 

"So who would you pick if you have to choose between them?" Jisoo-unnie joined in, "Now, Marion without question." Lisa answered, "Then tell him that." Jisoo-unnie replied, "I did but he didn't believe me." Lisa responded, "It's because he was mad. What do you truly feel about Marion?" I asked Lisa, "I... I... I love him." she replied

Marion's POV

I wasn't able to sleep at all, the six bottles and a pack of a can of beer were insufficient so I went out in the middle of the night to find a place where I can continue drinking, I heard loud music coming from somewhere near so I looked around and I saw the bright lights of a signage, "The Bar". I went towards the establishment without missing a beat.

I stopped in front of the bartender, "Give me a bottle." I told him, "Here." he said, I swiped the bottle off of the counter and drank it without the regard of breathing.

I wiped the corners of my lips with my hand, "Another one." I told the bartender, "Already?" he gave me another bottle and just like the first one, I gulped it down without stopping.

"Another." I said, "Sir, I think you need to slow it down." he replied, "Mind your business." I responded, he kept quiet and gave me another bottle.

I grabbed the bottle and walked away from the stool I was sitting at and I moved to a empty table, away from all the people.

I drank the whole bottle and order another one, it continued again and again.

I didn't want to go home so I stayed at the bar, continuing the drinking fest until I blacked out.

I felt something poking my arm, I slowly opened my eyes to see the bartender on my side holding a chopstick.

"Woooh! I thought you're dead." he exclaimed, I sat properly, holding my aching head.

"You were here all night. All the other customers already left." he told me, "Uhm... Can I have a glass of water?" I asked nursing my head, "Sure. Wait here." I saw him ran off to the bar to get a glass of water and he hurried back to me.

"Thanks." I said, drinking everything. "Feel better?" he asked, "No..." I smiled at him while nursing my headache, "In all the years I've been here, when I saw someone like this, it can be either two things: he's broken hearted or heartbroken. Which is it?" he replied, I didn't respond.

"Wait a minute! You're Marion Alexander, aren't you?" he asked, I nodded.

"I thought you looked familiar. Do you want talk about your problem? I'm a great listener." he asked and I can feel the genuine concern, "Thanks but... I don't want to talk about it yet." I replied, "Oh sure... You've been here all night, someone might be looking for you." he said, "You're right. Thanks again." I said as I stood up and made my way out.
