Chapter 16

Marion's POV

I woke up with a smile on my face. I was practically skipping everywhere I go. I can't forget what just happened yesterday. It's the first time in my life that someone actually wants to go out with me.

With that in mind, I was very cheerful and happy while I was working which even Ahjumma noticed. "Hey kid, what's with you today?" she asked, "What do you mean, Ahjumma?" I replied with a smile on my face, "You're really happy today. Did something good happen to you yesterday?" she asked, "I just probably woke up on the right side of the bed." I replied as I go back to attend to the customers.

The aura that I have seems to transfer to the customers I was serving because as I attend to them they were also smiling back at me.

I was not feeling any exhaustion even that it's the middle of the day already.

So when it's time for my break, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and tried messaging Chaeyoung, "Hello." even when I tried thinking of what to write for a long time all I was able to come up was "Hello.".

I ate my lunch as I was waiting for a reply from her so when I still got no reply after a couple of minutes, I went back to work putting my phone back in pocket.

I'm starting to get bothered by the nonreply, I kept checking my phone while I was attending the customers, "Maybe she's busy." I thought.

I decided to put my phone back in my room so that I won't be distracted and overthink about the nonreply so when I got back down I cleaned the tables and washed the dishes.

The smile that was once on my face was replaced by a serious look, I suddenly remembered that I don't have a plan at all for later.

"Oh shoot! What am I gonna do later?" I asked myself, I was trapped in my thoughts while I was washing the dishes. Ahjumma nudged me, "Kid? Are you all right?" she asked, "Oh... I'm sorry." I replied as I saw the overflowing water on the sink, "What are you daydreaming about?" she asked, "Oh... It's nothing, Ahjumma." I replied, I finished washing the remaining dishes and went back outside, I thanked the customers leaving and greeted the ones entering.

I was wiping a table when an idea popped in my head, "A dinner might be good.", "I'll go with that." I thought.

I already closed the restaurant as I also finished cleaning and arranging everything.

I went to the kitchen to get something to drink, "Should we go to something fancy or just average?" I asked myself, "But she's not allowed to stay out late." I thought.

I was still thinking of what exactly to do as I was heading to my room, I sat on my bed and reached out for my phone, a notification reads "New Message", so I opened it and it says, "Hi! Sorry for the late reply. The unnies and I was out shopping so I wasn't able to read and reply to your message. Are you ready for later?", "It's okay. Are you fine with dinner for later?" I replied, I got a reply, "Sure! What time and where?", "Are there any restaurants near your dorm so we won't be too far?" I replied, "Oh wait." she replied, I'm just staring at my phone waiting for a reply.

"This place is awesome." I saw the message and a picture and address attached with it, "That's great! Does 5 o' clock work for you?" I texted, "Yeah! See you!" she replied, "See you!" I texted back.

I put my phone down and I can't believe that it's really gonna happen, I'm gonna go out on a romantic date and with an idol, out of all people.

I went to take a shower then I was rummaging through my clothes to find something nice to wear, "If Jennie-noona is here, I won't be having trouble finding something to wear." I said, I paired clothes with each other and all combinations I did was fine for me which got me thinking much harder if it was the right thing to wear.
