Marion's POV
I spent the day looking for anyone I know; friends, relatives, and family friends but they weren't there.
Since I got here I only recognize one person and that's the cashier and other than her, all of the faces I saw was different.
"Am I in the wrong place?" I asked myself in Tagalog, confused of not seeing any familiar people.
I saw a man walking and I approached him, I asked in Tagalog, "Did the Alexanders moved away?" he looked at me baffled, "I lived here since I was young and I never heard any Alexanders who lived here.", my mouth dropped wide open.
"That can't be true. Me and my family have been living in this place since I was born." I said, "Kid, are you on drugs?" he asked, "What?! No." he replied.
"Thanks for the help, sir. Sorry for keeping you." I thanked him, "What did he mean that there was no Alexanders here?" I asked, I was pacing back and forth in front of the convenient store.
"Nothing makes sense. How can they not recognize me or my family's name? How can everyone I know disappear without any sign?" I said, "I need to get to the bottom of this. But how?" I sat down and a signage got my attention, "School! I'm sure they have documents about me there." I said as I run towards the school which is only a couple of blocks away.
I reached the school and I was about to enter when the school guard stopped me and he is also different from the one I remember.
"Hey! Hey! What's your business here?" he asked, "I'm a student here." I said, "No, you're not. I never seen you before." he replied, "I'm really a student here." I pleaded, "Show me your ID." he replied, "I don't have it on me.", "So that's why I can't let you in.", "O-okay." I said moving away from the gate.
When he wasn't looking at me, I sprinted inside. I heard him screaming at me but I didn't stopped.
I ran inside the school bumping some students, I heard a couple of 'Heys' and 'Watch where you are going'.
I went to the second floor where my classroom is supposed to be, "Not this... Not this... Not this." I said passing by some classrooms.
I almost passed the classroom I was looking for, "This one." I stopped by the door and looked at the name of students posted.
"Alan... Albin... Alejandro... Al... Allen?! Where's my name?" I said scanning through the piece of paper attached at the side of the door.
"I finally found you, kid." I heard the guard said, "Found what you're looking for." he asked, "I'm... I'm sorry." I said, "You know you committed a grave offense." he said, "I'm sorry, sir.", "Good thing you didn't cause much trouble. I'll let you off the hook, just this once but don't do anything this stupid again." he replied and I nodded, he walked me outside the school and I walked back to the convenient store.
"Sh*t! Why was my name not there?" I said leaning my head on the bench, I remembered that I have my phone and my old sim card.
I quickly put in the sim card and restarted the phone, "Come on, please work.", when the phone started and I saw the old contacts I quickly dialed my mother's number, I heard a ring but the call immediately ended.
I tried again but the same thing happened, "F*ck!" I said in frustration. "What the hell happened this last few months?!" I continued asking myself that question.
