Chapter 7

Marion's POV

I didn't catch any sleep the whole night. I was feeling restless and I didn't know what to expect. It's already morning and I'm pacing back and forth inside my room.

I started looking inside my closet for any decent clothes to wear, "Oh man, I got nothing to wear.", I mumbled while going through all of my clothes, throwing shirt after shirt on the bed.

I decided to go out first to calm my nerves and I started to cook breakfast. "Did you already pick your clothes to wear later?" I heard someone say and I recognized it's Jennie's voice, "My closet is limited to a handful of clothes so the choices are not that many." I answered.

"Really? Want me to help you?" she suggested, "It's okay. I'll just put on some shirt and pants." I replied, "Are you sure? Lisa is really excited for today so she picked something good to wear and you'll just wear some shirt and pants?" she's mocking what I said, "Really?" I asked my voice faltering, she looked at me with her cold eyes which I got the message.

"Okay, can you please help me? You're one of the idols with the greatest fashion sense." I continued, "Don't worry! Leave it to me! When I'm finish styling you even Dispatch will mistake you for an idol." she replied full of confidence.

When I finished cooking, we headed to my room and on my bed are all of my clothes spread out. "Uhm... Is this everything?" she asked, "Uh yeah! I still don't have money so..." I said rubbing the back of my head, "No-no! I think we can make it work." she said in assurance.

She started pairing clothes up and I just stand there ignorant of what Master Jennie is doing. She paired a shirt and pants which I think is okay but she scoffed, I think she made a hundred combinations of the limited clothes I have and the style is different every time.

Idol's fashion sense is truly out of this world, and after an hour of fashion inspection, she settled with a retro-styled polo that I didn't know I have and black skinny jeans paired up with a white low cut converse.

"There you go!" she excitedly said, "Woah! You're awesome!" I replied with both my thumbs up, "No sweat! But you surely need to stock up in clothes I can't believe you only had that much clothes." she stated, "I'm gonna do that when I receive my first wage." I replied and we headed back to the kitchen where the other girl are already sitting, so we joined them and started to eat.

In the midst of our eating, Lisa asked, "Are you ready for our date?", I choked on the food I'm swallowing when I heard her say the word "date". I coughed, "Date?", "Yeah! We're going out for a friendly date." she said clearing things up, "Oh yeah... Friendly date." I responded, the other girls laughed at my reaction.

"Don't tell me it's your first date ever?" Jisoo teasingly said, "What?! Of course no! I've been in a date before." I made up, "Really?" Jisoo continued teasing, "Okay-okay, this is my first date; friendly or romantically." I said in defeat.

"Even in your hometown, you've never been in a date?" Jennie said, "Yes, I never even have any friends who are girls so a date is a bit farfetched don't you think?" I replied, Lisa suddenly cut in, "So it's decided, this will be your best first date ever!", the girls laughed at her declaration but I smiled at Lisa, "I can't see anyone better to have as my first date than you, Lisa. I'm honored." I stated happily, Lisa smiled at me.

There it is again, a flicker of hope. If you're in love, you are in love and you can't do anything about it even if it hurts you over and over again you'll still be in love so just think of the memories it will create than the heartbreak that comes with it.

I'll be enjoying every second of our friendly date because when it ends, I promise I'll let go of everything, every emotion, every desire, and every strand of hope. This is the harsh reality of this world, You must know your PLACE.
