Marion's POV
"Hello? Who's this?" I asked, "Hey kid, are you still up?" she asked, "Oh Ahjumma. Yeah, I thought it's somebody else. Why did you call this late?" I replied, "I won't be able to come tomorrow. Can you handle running the restaurant alone?" she asked, "Uh... Sure! I'll try." I answered.
"You already know the recipes, you can do it." Ahjumma assured, "I'll do my best. I'll just contact if I come upon problems tomorrow." I replied, "Thanks kid!" Ahjumma said and our call ended. I put down my phone on the side table and I immediately fell asleep.
I woke up early in the morning because I got a lot of things to do. I went to the market at 4:00 am to buy fresh ingredients, I picked up meats and vegetables.
After buying everything I needed, I went back to the restaurant to prepare everything, I chopped the vegetables and cut the meat. I also fixed the tables and chairs. When I'm sure that everything's ready I opened the restaurant for business.
And on cue, the customers came rushing in. I took their order and made their foods, I never got any chance to rest. But I was able to overcome the first wave, I got a little breather when I finished making the order of the last customer that came in for the first wave.
I'm in the kitchen chopping some vegetables when I heard the door opened, I immediately went outside to greet them, I wiped my hands on my apron, "Hello!" I said seeing 4 ladies with the mask on came in , they bowed. I guided them for a table for people and I gave them menus, "You're new here, aren't you?" the one lady asked.
"Uhm... Yes ma'am." I replied, "So where's Ahjumma?" she asked, "She needed to do something." I responded, she nodded.
Then the other ladies removed their masks and I realized that they're idols. "Are you guys by any chance, Mamamoo?" I asked, "Oh! You recognize us?" Hwasa replied, "Of course! Who doesn't?!" I replied, "What do you want to eat?" I continued and each of them stated their order.
I went to the kitchen and made their orders. "Woah! I can't believe Mamamoo's here." I muttered, "It's seems that Ahjumma's restaurant is also one of the establishments frequented by idols." I continued as I put the food on trays and served it to them, "Enjoy!" I said and they smiled. I attended the other customers coming in.
I was at the back washing the dishes when I heard the bell on the counter ringing so I dried my hands and went to the counter, the Mamamoo was standing there. "Oh Hello again. What I can do for you?" I asked, "We'll pay our bill." Solar said, "Oh wait! Let me compute the total." I said calculating the prices of all the food they ordered, "The total is $150." I said, "Here! Keep the change." Solar said, "Thank you. Hope you enjoyed the food." I replied, "We did." Moonbyul stated, "That's good to hear. Come again." I said and they bowed which I returned.
The day went by slower than the other days because I was extremely exhausted and it was only 1:45 pm, I realized that it was much harder to run this whole place alone and I can't believe that Ahjumma did this for 30 years, I only run this place for about 6 hours and I feel like I'm gonna die.
The customers are not coming in that many like in the morning and noon, maybe it's because it's near 3 pm which means closing time.
I attended the handful customers that came in which is easier for me and it doesn't hassle me unlike before. It's 3 pm and I just waited for the last customer to leave, I thanked him for eating and I flip the sign from open to close, I cleaned the tables and fixed the chairs.
I went to the counter, I was counting the amount that the restaurant earned today when I heard a knock on the door, "Huh? Can't he or she read the sign?" I said, I went to the door, "I'm sorr-" I was about to say when I saw that it was Hyungsoo, he also got surprised seeing me, "Woah! Hyung!" I said opening the door.
