Chapter 26

Chaeyoung's POV

I just got out of the studio and was about to go home when I received a message from Marion, "Chae, can we talk?", "Sure! Back in the dorm at around 9?" I replied, I was smiling til we got on the car.

When we arrived back in the dorm, I received a text from him, "I'm at the back.", "Okay. Just let me change first." I replied.

I quickly went to my room and changed then I went out, "Where are you going?" Jeongyeon-unnie asked, "Marion's outside." I replied, "Okay, don't forget your jacket. It's cold outside." she reminded, "Thanks unnie." I said.

I went outside and opened the back door. I saw him as soon as I opened the door, he was standing in front of me.

I smiled at him, "Hey, Marion!" he just looked at me in silence. Something felt off, "Uhm... Hey!" I waved my hand in front of his face but he just looked at me.

I'm getting a bad feeling seeing him like that so I moved near him and was about to put my hand on his shoulder then he suddenly avoided, I got surprised by his reaction.

When I got a closer look at his face, it was expressionless but his eyes told a different story.

It doesn't have the usual shine it has instead it was dark and hateful.

"Marion? Is there a problem?" I asked, "I just want to ask you one thing." he finally said, "Sure. W-what is it?" I replied stuttering a bit, my heart was beating faster because of how serious he sounded.

"Was everything we had just for publicity?" he asked with his emotionless voice but every word struck me, "Uhm... What do you-... Where did you-..." I can't for any proper sentence, "Just tell me the truth, Chae." he said and now his voice was pleading like his begging for the truth.

"N-no... No it's not." I said, "Don't make this any harder than it already is." he replied, "I'm telling the tru-...", "Just stop... Chae, please... I already know everything." he replied his voice was wavering, I clenched the helm of my jacket.

"I loved you with all I had, with all I am. I did everything just to make me you happy but it was still never enough. You used me... If you hurt physically will be much better than making a fool out of me. I really love you that's why it hurts so much." I just stood there frozen because I realized how much I hurt him.

"What do a nobody like me expect, right?" he followed, "I didn't used you. My feelings for you were real." I tried saying. "Let's end it here, Chae." he said, "You can even tell them that I'm the one who broke it up or it's all my fault or anything, I know that your company could make something up. I'll take the blame so that your image wouldn't be damage." he suggested, I wasn't able to say anything in reply and just stood there looking at him.

"I don't think I can have a relationship that's built on make believe and lies. It also made me realize gave it that I was so dumb to believe that you could actually love me." he said looking at me and giving me the saddest smile I've ever seen in my life.

My tears flowed down my cheeks, every word he said were like bullets then he left.

Seeing his figure slowly disappearing in the night, I run towards him and put my hands around his waist and hugged him.

"I'm sorry! I'm really sorry, Marion! I didn't mean to do this to you. I just did it for my members." I cried, I felt him wriggling out of my hold then he put his hands on my arms removing them from his waist.

"Marion! I'm really sorry!" I continued apologizing, he was able to remove my arms from clinging to him and he continued walking.

I fell down on the road and broke down crying, "This is all my fault!" I blamed myself.
