Chapter 40

Marion's POV

The loud alarm of my phone woke me up, I just opened my eyes for a second before closing them again.

I reached around my bed trying to find the loud disturbance when I got a hold of something resembling the shape of my phone.

I slowly opened my right eye to see the reason for it to  ring so loudly and I saw that it was already 6:30 am, "Shoot!" I muttered as I hurry towards the bathroom, I just cleaned my face and brushed my teeth.

After changing I went down and I saw Ahjumma leaving already so I was confused, "Uhm... Ahjumma?" I called out, "Oh Marion, you're awake." she replied, "Are you leaving already?" I asked, "Yeah. We're not opening up today. I got some business to take care of." she replied, "You didn't have to come here. You should have called me instead." I said, "No. It's okay. I wanted some exercise and I also didn't want to disturb you." she told me, "I made breakfast. Eat up, okay?" she added, "Will do, Ahjumma. Thank you." I smiled.

I followed Ahjumma out and when she was gone before I went back in, I inhaled the fresh air, absorbed the sunshine, and stretched my whole body.

I took out the breakfast that Ahjumma cooked for me before going back up to get my phone, I dialed Lisa's number and I was coming down the stairs when she picked up, "Happy birthday babe!" I  greeted her, I heard her chuckle from the other line, "Thank you babe." she replied, "Are you heading there now?" she asked, "Not yet maybe a bit later" I answered, "Can we come along with you?" she asked, "No, you can't. I'll handle everything. Just relax and enjoy the day." I said, "Okay... What are you doing right now?" she asked, "I'm having breakfast. You?" I responded, "Same. We really can't come with you? I just want to help." she asked, "Don't worry... It's not a surprise if you see it already." I said, "But...", "No buts. Trust me, okay? I promise you'll have the best birthday ever." I declared, "O-okay." she said.

After talking with Lisa and eating my breakfast, I took a bath because I was planning on getting there as early as possible so that I can start all the preparations.

I packed the clothes that I would be wearing at the party in the bag I'm gonna bring, I headed out straight to the venue. I arrived and approached one of the staffs who was inside, "Uh... Hello. I'm Marion Alexander. I'm in charge of the venue for BlackPink Lisa's birthday.", "Oh. We've been waiting for you, sir. We were instructed to follow all your decisions." she said, "Really? Alright. But If you have some suggestions don't be afraid to tell me okay?" I replied, "Will do sir." she said, "Let's start." I stated as she call the other staffs that will be helping me today.

After 4 hours, we finally finished decorating the place. "Is everything okay?" I asked the staff, "Yes sir." she replied, "How about the food?" I asked, "It's all been dealt with. Catering will start arriving later." she responded, "Good... Good..." I said still looking around, "If you're still not satisfied, we can double check everything again sir." she told me, "Uh... No... No... It's okay. I just want everything to be perfect." I said, "Don't worry sir. Everything will be perfect, I'll deal with everything personally so that all your hardwork will not be wasted." she smiled, "Thank you." I replied, "Do you have any place that I can rest in a little?" I asked, "There's a room already prepared for you sir. So that you can prepare for the party later." she replied, "Really?" I asked, "Follow me." she instructed so I followed her to a room.

I thanked her before getting inside, "Towels, toiletries, and they prepared snacks too." I checked the things that were on the bed.

"Hey babe!" I greeted, "Hello babe!" she greeted back, "Are you excited for later?" I asked, "Of course." she replied, "Good because we really worked hard." I said, "Really? I'm more excited now." she replied, "Are you getting ready?", "Yup. Just waiting for my unnies.", "Great! I'll prepare too. See you later. Love you." I remarked, my eyes grew big, hearing myself say that out of the blue.
