Bradley was throwing his clothes angrily into his suitcase. He wanted to go home and fix this mess.
He felt tears behind his eyes. More angry tears than anything.
How could he have let things get so out of hand?
"Bradley?"
He sighed. He did not want to deal with Cora.
"What?" he asked as calmly as he could.
"What are you doing?" he heard her voice tremble.
"Be careful about what you say," Evil Brad said, appearing at the doorway next to Cora.
Bradley didn't know what to do. He felt so lost.
"Are you still in love with her?" Cora asked him. He felt his heart skip a beat.
"No," he lied. His mouth felt sour.
"So what was that just now?" she asked, angrily. "What the hell Brad?"
"Can you come back later?" he asked her, wanting her to leave. "Please?"
"YOU CAN'T JUST DRAG ME AROUND BRADLEY!" Cora yelled, her face turning red despite her tan. He saw a tear fall from her eye.
He lowered his head in shame. What was he doing?
"You're right." he said, not knowing how much truth was going to come out. "I don't know what's going on with me. I'm fucked up, Cora. I'm just tired of everything."
Cora stood there, her arms crossed. He could see her trembling.
"Before you came into my life, I wanted to end mine. I was tired of being second best, of being a laughing stock at my own school, losing the woman I thought loved me to my rival and one day I decided to end it all-"
He stopped. He couldn't finish his thoughts. He had gone blank.
"I just need time," he said softly.
And I'm in love with Jasmine, he thought to himself.
Max couldn't believe what he was watching. Jasmine looked radiant along with Mikolaj. What an unexpected surprise.
"I wonder if Bradley was watching this," he heard Roxanne say to herself. Her eyes were fixed on the screen.
He was sitting in his living room with the woman of his dream. Her red locks curled around her waist, her face pink from the wine she was holding in her hand. She wore a long blue dress with a his sweater wrapped over her shoulders.
"I hope he isn't," Roxanne said again, her eyes not leaving the screen.
"Why not?" Max asked. "He's with Cora, why should he care?"
He saw Roxanne roll her eyes. "You're so blind."
"What?" he asked confused.
"Bradley's not over her," Roxanne said, standing up. "I have to call Stacey."
Max watched as she walked away from him.
They had been spending more time together, but there were no more kisses shared, or intimate moments. She was doing exactly what she said she would do.
Take it slow.
He didn't mind. He enjoyed her company. When the ball dropped he expected her to just hug him, but she surprised him with a kiss on the cheek. He felt like a teenage boy again.
"Everything okay, son?" Goofy asked, walking into the small living room. "Where's Roxy?"
"Yeah, dad. She went to call Stacey. Are you guys heading up now?" Max asked as he watched his parents yawn.
