Roxanne woke up, the cold air drafting through the cracks in her window. She blinked away the night's sleep and looked over to find that snow had covered half of her window and bits of it were falling inside her room.

She smiled. She loved seeing the first snowfall. It brought back memories of better times.

In France it would snow, but not as much as she was used to. She did live in a beach town. She was going to enjoy this morning.

After she was done getting ready, she went downstairs to find Tony asleep on the sofa. She wondered how long they had stayed up studying.

Jasmine surprised her by being at the kitchen table, cup of coffee in her hand.

"Morning," she said, walking over to pour herself a cup.

"Morning." Jasmine said, a little defeated.

"I'm surprised you're up." Roxanne said. She looked over at the time. It was barley 7am.

"I couldn't sleep. Bradley came over looking for you," she said. Roxanne noticed Jasmine's coffee was black, and next to it was a half smoked cigarette.

"Why? Is everything okay with him?" Roxanne asked, not knowing why Bradley wanted to see her so early. "I haven't spoken with him in a while."

"He wouldn't say." Jasmine sighed. "It's his birthday today, you know."

"Oh, wow, I didn't know. Are you going to do something for him? We should take him out to eat! Or do something here." Roxanne suggested.

Jasmine groaned, stretching her arms up in the air. " I don't think that would be such a good idea. I'm not in great terms with Cora."

"Well, she will just have to accept that we want to see Brad. Is that why you're still up?" Roxanne said, turning to look at Tony. She lowered her voice. "You miss him, don't you?"

Jasmine looked up at her, her emerald green eyes giving nothing away. "I worry about him. He walked over here in this freezing cold."

"Why don't you ask him how's he's doing? I know he probably misses you just like you miss him." Roxanne stated, pouring more milk in her coffee. She hated her coffee black.

"Roxanne, it's not that simple. Why don't you just go up to Max and tell him how you're feeling? Because it's complicated. There seems to be this unspoken rule between us not to bring up anything. It just seems every time we do, things just get worse or we pull farther apart. I don't want that. I'm okay the way I am right now."

Roxanne knew Jasmine was right. Easier said than done.

"Tony's not over you," Jasmine whispered.

Roxanne felt her face go red. "That's in the past."

"Not for him. He's a good guy Roxanne. My advice would be to forget Max and try again with Tony. Clearly Max wants to be with Mona. Those two are always together."

Roxanne sighed. Mocha had said as much. Max had told the guys he was just friends with Mona, but he never seemed to spend time apart from her. Maybe Max was trying to get to know Mona more before he committed to anything.

"And that's not all," Mocha said, walking into the kitchen. " I couldn't help but hear your conversation."

"Morning," both women said in unison. Mocha was wearing her usual dark colors, her hair tied up in a messy bun. She still looked radiant.

"PJ tells me Max is taking her over to his house for Christmas break." Mocha said. She took the lid off the coffee pot and began to drink out of it.
