"You do realise that it is a bad idea." David asks as Janet parks the car in front of a cottage.
"You agreed to it as well." Janet replies laughing as the couple make their way towards the house.
"Spending Christmas away from families. A bit cliche, don't you think? Typically romantic novels kinda shit." David says teasingly.
"By all means, Mr. Richards. Go ahead and attend both the dinners at yours and mine's parents' house." Janet smirks at the man as she unlocks the main door to the house.
David takes the living area in. A white Christmas tree stood my the fireplace. The entire area laden with white comfortable blankets. Not to miss, the cosy chair by the fireplace.
"Wow." He breaths walking into the place.
"Glad you like it. I bought it after the G&S became successful. It has been like that since. Never got the time for a vacation here." Janet laughs closing the door shut.
David turns back to look at her, a surprised expression on his features. "No. Really. This place is good." David mutters, mostly to himself.
"I'm thinking of giving this place to Joseph and Rachel as their wedding gift." Janet says making David frown.
"Why?" He asks.
"What do you mean why? My brother is getting married. I must gift something to him and his wife. That's how it works." Janet says with a 'duh' tone.
"No. I mean, you bought this for yourself. This is a beautiful place. You're thinking of giving it away because you never spent time here, and it's not appealing to you anymore." He says grabbing her hand. He leads her towards the chair. He takes a seat and places her on his lap.
"All you need to do is spend some time here, Jane. Actually enjoy a vacation here. With a friend or your family, or even me. Let yourself be the lively young girl who wanted to spend a quality time at a beautiful cabin like this. I know she's somewhere in there. You're not even old enough to be thinking that!" He says calmly.
All this time, Janet was staring into nothing. She was listening to him explain it to her peacefully. She then smiles, at nothing in particular. "Help me change my views then." She says looking up at him.
"Oh, I plan to." He replies, a small smirk on his face. Janet's smile widens.

"Jane! You're taking forever, sweetheart! The food's gonna get cold." David shouts. He is seated beside the fire place as he waits for her to join him for dinner. A small picnic spread in front.
