"Seriously? That's your excuse for being absent on Christmas Eve dinner? That you were working?" An annoyed Rachel asks as she tries on dresses at the boutique.
Both the girls are supposed to attend the Businessmen's Awards today. Janet is one of the nominees for tonight, just as Joseph, David and even Damian. Apart from that, Janet is also David's date tonight.
Rachel will be accompanying her fiancee to the event.
"Go fuck yourself, El. I know Joseph has told you everything already." Janet calls her out making her best friend pout.
"Okay. I'm going for this black one. Hands down." Rachel says and hands the dress to the lady.
"You sure?" Janet asks. "I mean, make sure you don't flash your bump." She adds teasingly.
"She's not even showing. Shut up, Janey." Joseph's voice floats in as he walks into the room.
"What are you doing here? I thought it was the girls day out. Rachel, I gonna have to ask you to lock your man in your house before meet ups. I can't deal with th-oow" Janet lets out a grunt as Joseph smacks at the back of her head.
"Shut up, Aunty. What dress did you select?" Joseph asks placing his arm on his sister's shoulders.
Am mischievous smile appears on her face. "You're gonna love it, brother. I'll leave you two to it." She whispers to her brother and leaves the room, leaving the couple with furrowed brows.

Location- Janet's apartment
The door bell rings making Janet frown. It's too early for David to pick her up. He is about 45 minutes early. On second thoughts, it could be anybody else.
"I'll get that for you and show myself out." Janet's stylist says walking out of her room.
"Thanks, Lee." Janet mutters adjusting her dress. She picks up her phone and clicks a mirror selfie. She was about to click another one when a man walks into the frame and snakes an arm around her from behind, sliding in just time to click a good photo. Janet smiles brightly.
He plants a kiss on her cheek and Janet takes another snap.
"You're early, David."
"And you're stunning, Jane." He replies letting her go and plopping down on her bed.
