~~~Saving Bev (I)~~~
 That Saturday morning, Adelaide was the happiest she'd been since Stan's Bar Mitzvah. She was okay with Bill again, and that made life less hard. She had her best friend back.
 Bill informed Adelaide that he and Beverly had made plans that afternoon and he wondered if she wanted to join them. He was sure Beverly wouldn't have minded. Though she greatly missed Beverly, and the idea did tempt her, she declined as she decided to head home.
 Adelaide went back home when Bill decided to go out for his plans with Beverly. Adelaide spent an hour in her room before she heard frantic knocking on her front door. Her feet moved quickly to reach the entrance of her home. She opened it to reveal a distress Bill, coming into her house before she could muster an invitation.
"Bill! Bill, slow down! I can't understand you," she grabbed his wrists firmly, but not too hard that it hurt. When his worried eyes met hers, she nodded, "What is it?"
"It got Beverly," was all he said.
"What?" She frowned, not truly following the meaning of his words.
"It, Adelaide. It."
"Oh, fuck," she cursed, suddenly finding it hard to breathe.
"I-I'm going to find R-Richie. C-Call the others, have them meet us h-h-here," he instructed, earning a frantic nod from Adelaide.
"Bill!" She called just before he could leave the door. "Try the arcade. He's probably there," she said.
 He gave her a small nod before leaving, closing the door with a light thud. Adelaide rushed to the landline, dialing in the number that belonged to Eddie's house. She prayed and prayed that Eddie would be the one answering and not his mother.
 The duration of the ringing was only short but it felt like forever to Adelaide as her bottom lip was in between her teeth. She was biting down on it so hard, she was sure it could bleed.
 Her fingers were drumming vigorously against the wooden wall as her feet tapped non-stop onto the ground. Her hear was beating so fast, you'd think it would jump right out of her chest.
"Hello?" Eddie's small voice peered through.
Adelaide felt relief and joy wash over her at the sound of the voice she long had not heard. "Eddie, it's Del. Beverly got taken. I know it's hard, but please, you have to come," she begged.
"Okay," he nervously exhaled.
"My house," she added.
"I'll meet you there," he nodded, but she couldn't see.
 Eddie hung up the phone and Adelaide began calling Stan. She prayed that he wasn't still in trouble for Bar Mitzvah. Thankfully, she got him. Then, Ben was called. Just as she ended the phone call with Ben, Bill and Richie came through the front door, calling for her name.
