Something a little lighter this time 😅
ROLL CALL>>>>
"Go back to the dressing rooms with the other two." Damiano whispered into Vic's ear, grabbing at her bicep as they walked off stage.
"Where will you be?" Vic asked back, just as hushed. She didn't know what the secrecy was all about.
Damiano looked over his shoulder. "Don't worry about it. You killed it tonight."
"You too." Vic smiled, but her smile soon fell when a certain smug grin slipped onto Damiano's face. "Dami. I know that look."
He scoffed. "What look?"
Vic shook her head. "You're...you're all, shit I don't know! You're running on the performance adrenaline, and I know you're thinking about doing something stupid."
Damiano shook his head, knowing that Victoria had been alluding to some past encounters when he had gotten all agitated at the hands of champagne and stage presence.
Damiano shook his head. "Nothing like that. No. Not again."
"Good. Just, Dami. Don't do anything stupid." Vic added, following Thomas and Ethan back to the dressing rooms, as asked.
Once she had left, Damiano pivoted around and went back to the stage, most of the audience was dispersed by now, and he was joined by technicians cleaning up the sound equipment.
Damiano's eyes scanned the audience and he smirked when they landed on a certain someone.
"Hey!" Damiano called. "Come here!" He nodded behind the set.
An evil smirk marked the man's face as he followed Damiano behind the stage.
Damiano didn't want to pay the man any greetings or formalities, but he decided to as a power play. "Did you like the show?" He smirked.
"Yeah, loved it, man. You guys are wonderful." He crossed his arms across his chest. "Now that groupie of yours is and absolute smoke show."
"That's my girlfriend." Damiano snipped. "And are you going to tell me why you thought it would be okay to touch her like that?"
The man's skin ran pale.
"Yeah." Damiano continued. "I saw all that shit. You're glad I didn't get offstage and punch you right then." Damiano spoke before cleanly decking the man across the nose.
"Man, what the fuck!" The man gasped, clutching at his bloody nose. It didn't take long before he punched Damiano right back.
Shit, this guy has a good arm.
You heard Damiano's voice from behind the stage. You peered around the wall. You had asked Vic where your boyfriend had gone, and she talked about him going back on the stage.
"Damiano!" You cried, seeing the man take another ruthlessly hard punch across your boyfriend's face.
You called again and again but neither man reacted. When you tried to run forward to reach them an invisble wall held you back. You were fighting this two way mirror, only being able to witness the fight, not stop it.
"Damiano!" You cried again, but this time, you jolted awake with tears in your eyes.
"It's alright, Darling, I'm here." Damiano's soothing voice coaxed, running your back.
You flipped over to your other side, suddenly remembering that you had been hanging out in Damiano's dressing room during Måneskin's set for the night.
You looked up, seeing Damiano standing partially over you. He was bent at the knees to be slightly closer to your level.
"Nothing. It's fine. It was just a dream." You shook your head, wiping at your tears.
Damiano sighed with a soft smile. He rubbed at your cheek with the pad of his thumb. "It's okay, I have bad dreams, too."
You sighed, fiddling with the strings of Damiano's hoodie that you had slipped on.
Damiano rose slowly, finishing undoing the buttons of his costume shirt from the show. Once he was out of the heavy garmet, he laid down beside you on the dressing room sofa.
"What happened, if you don't mind me asking?" He whispered as you tucked your cheek against his neck.
You took in a deep breath, clutching onto his tattooed back. "This scary guy was touching me in the audience during your show and afterwards you were fighting him and he was beating you up and--" You stopped as your heartbeat started to race.
"Oh, baby..." Damiano spoke, running his hands through your hair. "Nobody's going to hurt you, I promise." He kissed the top of your head.
"How was the show?" You asked quietly after a few moments of just holding Damiano.
"It was good." He smiled softly. "Ethan's drumming was exceptional tonight. Remind me to tell him that later, okay?"
"Okay." You snuggled closer to Damiano.
"I've got you, baby. I love you."
