A Damoria request for an anonymous follower. Thank you for reading, Love! I hope you enjoy it xo
Damiano had been acting off for the past few nights. He was quiet at rehearsals, wouldn't share the lyrics he was writing, he didn't fight back when someone tried to challenge the lyrics he did share, and--most notably to Vic--he wasn't holding Vic while they slept like he typically did.
Vic tried to coax his emotions out of him, but he wouldn't budge. He'd claim exhaustion, or say he hadn't eaten yet that day and go start cooking something for the band just to avoid the confrontation.
"Can I sit with you?" Vic asked, softly.
Thomas glanced briefly away from the PlayStation game he was playing. "Of course, Vic." He patted the sofa next to him. "Want to play?" He extended the second controller to her, but the blonde girl shook her head.
"No, I'm alright."
"Oh," Thomas laughed, starting a new round of the game. "You want to backseat video game, huh?"
Vic shook her head again. "No, I just..." She sighed, propping her head onto her hand against the back of the couch. "Want a distraction."
Thomas turned the game off, causing Vic to gasp.
"What? Play your game, I'm sorry for--"
Thomas turned to face Vic. "Fuck the game, I was losing anyway. I swear, I can play so much and I still can't beat Dami." He laughed, but his expression contorted into one of concern when he saw Vic flinch at the mention of Damiano's name.
She settled quickly when she saw Thomas' cocked eyebrow.
"Damiano." Thomas repeated, and Vic didn't react as hard, but Thomas could tell she was biting her tongue.
"Why're you reacting like that? Trouble in paradise?" Thomas joked, but quickly realized it was probably insensitive. He immediately mumbled an apology.
Vic breathed in heavily. "I'm worried about him." She admitted, feeling a small bit of that weight release from her chest.
"What are you worried about?"
"He's just been acting different. Closed off. I'm worried something happened back home..." Vic spoke out of her head, wondering if she should tell Thomas what truly tipped off her worries.
Thomas frowned. "I think if something happened, he'd tell you when he feels ready. I wouldn't sweat it, V, you know how he gets when we're working on new music and all. All in his head and whatnot, yeah?"
"Yeah." Vic sighed. "I guess you're right."
She rose to her feet, planning to go find Damiano. Thomas' mature wisdom or not, she wanted an answer now.
Thomas turned back to his game with a smirk. "What? You still won't play?"
Vic giggled softly. "Later, I promise."
Vic started throughout the Måneskin house, looking for the frontman. "Dami." She called, seeing him standing in their bedroom, scrolling on his phone.
Damiano looked up from his phone and immediately stood, grabbing a t-shirt and starting towards the bathroom. "I'm going to go take a shower." He muttered.
"No, Damia, please. Wait a second." Vic borderline chased him to the bathroom.
Damiano whipped around, and in a moment of rash tension Damiano grabbed Vic's writst tight.
"Why are you following me around like a goddamn dog?" He growled, his emotions getting the best of him.
Tears welled in Vic's eyes. "Damiano, I heard what you said on the fucking tour bus! To Ethan!" Tears started to pour down her cheeks.
