You flipped through the innermost pages of the book Thomas had brought with him. He always carried a book with him, and this one was Slash's self titled autobiography.
Thomas had long admired and idolized the Guns N Roses guitarist, so reading his biography just brought that idolization full circle.
Too tired to actually read the book, you only flipped through the pages with the photos on them, admiring and observing the rock gods in their natural habitat.
You had come to the recording session with the band today, and even though you adored watching the band, especially your boyfriend, work, it was dragging late into the night.
Earlier in the session, you were completely dialed in. Watching as the technicians messed around on the soundboard, hearing Damiano scat through lyrics and how he wanted the song to sound, and watching Thomas play with his guitar. He'd try out new riffs and ask everyone what they thought of them, or if he should re-record the riffs he had already done for the song. He spoke with his hands and mimed the ups and downs of the riff's melodies.
Thomas was always one to talk with his hands, something you found adorable.
Your vision resting against the photos in the book got more blurred by the minute as your eyes started to blink slower and slower. You snuggled into the hoodie of Thomas' that you had slipped on and started to drift off to sleep.
"Thomas, look." Victoria whispered, nudging the guitarist. She pointed to you, asleep on the sofa.
Thomas smiled, seeing how peaceful you looked. "I'll let her sleep. Let's finish this up, then call it a night?"
"Sounds good." Damiano agreed, and Ethan gave a thumbs up, too engrossed in the rhythms he was thinking of to form a complete answer.
Thomas snuck one more loving glance at you before heading back to work.

You heard a faint click in the distance and felt two strong arms wrap around your torso. You stirred slightly, moving around as you felt yourself getting lifted up.
Your hands weakly roamed the back of the person carrying you, and after moving your head, allowing yourself to smell the person's cologne, you were able to identify the person as Thomas.
You whined softly, nuzzling your head into Thomas' neck, still half asleep.
"Shh, babygirl, it's just me, it's just me." Thomas coaxed, feeling you begin to wake up. "You can go back to sleep."
He opened the door, still carrying you and kicked off his shoes. You had sandals on that he easy slipped off and sat by his at the doorstep.
"M' sorry for fallin' asleep at your gig, bub." Your voice sounded slurred, still heavy with sleep. "Made you look bad."
Thomas shook his head, laying you down on your shared bed and covering you with all the blankets. "You have nothing to be sorry for." He kissed the top of your head.
You snuggled under all the blankets, nearly falling back asleep, however, you missed the warmth from Thomas' arms.
"I'm gonna go shower real quick, baby, then I'll be right back." Thomas explained, giving you one more kiss and rubbing down your hair.
You nodded, allowing yourself to completely fall back asleep, knowing that you were safe with Thomas, and that he would always be by your side.
