December 19, 1984. (All-Valley Karate Tournament)

Aaron stood up as he prepared to go. As he stood, he surveyed all the people in the bleachers, all the hungry eyes staring closely towards the middle of the arena . He got a slight nervous churning in his stomach, but that feeling usually came before he ever competed in the All-Valley Karate tournament.

Aaron patted down his black karate gi, which was branded with the symbol of his karate dojo, King Cobra or Cobra Kai. The official name of the dojo was Cobra Kai, but his sensi George William Frederick liked to call it King Cobra, so both names ended up being used interchangeably.  The public had come to acknowledge them as King Cobra. The main reason George had liked the name King Cobra in the first place is that their dojo usually dominated all the karate tournaments, and hardly ever left the arena without a trophy in hand.

"I have the red car out front, so you can go ahead and leave the trophies there now," George would usually say smugly as soon as they had entered the arena.

Additionally, George had been nicknamed King George in the community. Not only for his efficient leadership in the dojo, but his high leadership position in the community. It is what had given people the notion to call him King George. Additionally, George was known to also hold high positions when he lived in Britain before he had moved to the U.S with his family.
