After spending the night at the police station Aaron was released as he had been bailed out of prison by an unknown person. Interesting.

Spending the night at the police station had gifted him with time to ponder his current state. Right now, he was sure he hit the lowest of lows. No job. No family. Very little money. Just got arrested.

Aaron groaned as he felt like he was in a china shop, and everything around him had shattered leaving him as the last relic that was damaged but still standing. Although standing alone.

He considered what he would do now, and honestly he didn't know. He decided his best course of action now was to wait. He was good at that. Wait for an opportunity to come to him, cause putting yourself out there means risking failure. Risking losing more than what was already lost.

So he decided once he had an opportunity available to him he would take it.

Aaron was dropped off at his apartment complex by a police officer, and his car had been towed there. For some reason his car wasn't operating as normal.

"What's wrong with my car?" Aaron had asked the officer as he got out of the police car.

"Sir, I'm a police officer," The officer answered flatly. "Not a mechanic."

Aaron sighed in annoyance as he turned away and the officer had rolled back up their window. No car, this list of losses seemed to be getting longer.

Aaron felt like he was gonna break at any moment, and for a moment he felt like he would just collapse. Not to mention his body still ached for his altercation with those teenagers.

"Why is my life full of pain.." Aaron muttered to himself as he began a slow walk of disappointment to his apartment.

"Hey! Sir!" A voice called out to him and Aaron turned to see Payne running up to him.

Aaron saw he was now all bandaged up from what happened last night.

"And now it's full of Payne too.." Aaron murmured, but he still turned to wave at Payne with a small smile.

Payne reached him and still seemed to have the same look of bewilderment as last night from witnessing Aaron's karate moves.

Although that face disappeared as he looked Aaron up and down.

"You look banged up," Payne just noted simply.

"I'm fine," Aaron had assured him as he moved his joints around as if to prove it. "I'm more worried about my car."

"Oh, um after the cops took you away, that hobo lady I think stole the engine," Payne informed him as he scratched the back of his head. "I don't know what for. But from the things she was saying, I don't think I want to know."

Aaron just nodded with a look of 'that explains everything'. "And you? Are you okay?"

Payne rolled his eyes as he displayed his bandages, "Please don't even ask. My mom asked like fifty times already."

"You have a good mom," Aaron restated what he had said last night.

"Too good sometimes," Payne grumbled as he crossed his arms. "You know how moms are sometimes."

Aaron chuckled faintly at the comment.

"I actually don't. I was an orphan," Aaron informed him, causing Payne to have a shocked face.

"Oh.." Payne said as he seemed surprised by that fact. "Sorry."

"Don't apologize Payne, it's fine. I see you have been working on your sorry's though," Aaron joked in order to change the subject.
